No, but here in the USA we have many more options then in most countries. In racing guys are always looking for an advantage then they find one . Then they change the rules. Damm he put an amazing amount of time to get there . I know what it takes. Also with my 44 JSB pellets before pyramid cup I shot my personal best 244. The day before I got there. Now I will research for heavy pellets hope I find some. Just remember he did not break the rules there not defined enough. You bought some of his pellets there, William?
Im happyI’m happy for you wWilliam!
My AEAs were recently purchased, maybe that is the difference.
Day 2 I shot the JSB sample pellets in the brown tin from the JSB booth (pre weighed and sorted). Will be comparing to the regular 44.7s I already have soon.
I shot a 247, 17x in N50 with the AEA 66 grains recently. Go me!! The red panda I borrowed seem to chuck them pretty well. The AEA 66 grain are JUNK. No one I know shoots them. I tried them and they were mediocre at best from a 700mm FX 1:40 liner. Plus the BC was no better than the AEA 50.5 pellets.
I was on Bench 41 and Bench 16...#41 had one leg about a 1/2" shorter than the rest...they are probably all out of kilter to some extent.I think I shot of one of the benches you shimmed (#13 card 2 finals!) Thanks!![]()
I did a 247 in my first ever N50 with .22 21.9gr AEA with a .052 BC this past Saturday in Beorne, TX. Fine competition and incredible fun.I shot a 247, 17x in N50 with the AEA 66 grains recently. Go me!! The red panda I borrowed seem to chuck them pretty well.
I think they would want a lot more twist than 1:40. Like 1:16, or more even. RP appears to be 1:17.5.
But I'm way off topic here. Mea culpa.
If your over 825 fps, your over 100 fpe with 66's.I shot a 247, 17x in N50 with the AEA 66 grains recently. Go me!! The red panda I borrowed seem to chuck them pretty well.

If i had known you were showing up i'd have drove down there. I gotcha by 1 point in okc, Glad to see you on the board.I did a 247 in my first ever N50 with .22 21.9gr AEA with a .052 BC this past Saturday in Beorne, TX. Fine competition and incredible fun.

I’m assuming these are all the “older” AEA 50.5 from the ST (your Teams) stash. Had you ordered since Spring 2025 you probably wouldn’t have the same opinion. Perhaps the latest batch received in the USA a couple weeks ago are better again. The ones sold to regular consumers the past 6 months or so were all over the place in head size with the majority undersized. FYI.I have found the AEA pellets shoot great and they are all the same weight. My jsb pellets 20 percent I don't shoot cause of inconsistency in head size and weight?
Did not know this. Thanks for the infoI’m assuming these are all the “older” AEA 50.5 from the ST (your Teams) stash. Had you ordered since Spring 2025 you probably wouldn’t have the same opinion. Just received a few tins of the new batch 45’s and they appear to be the new style.I’m assuming these are all the “older” AEA 50.5 from the ST (your Teams) stash. .092 actually which is slug territory!Time to get on the horn with AEA and get them knocking out 70 grains! ;-)
As an aside, I think you typo'd, but your previous post noted a BC of .9 for the 70 grain. Where as the images showed .09.
...Still a long ways from the .055 you're getting with your projectile.
And my point on the rules is just that mass produced and commercially available, is well, mass produced and commercially available. If you allow shooters to come from other nations, you may just have to allow them to shoot what they can obtain in their nation. ... Or are foreign shooters expected to recalibrate to domestically available ammo and guns in order to participate?
I agree. PAC organizers at a minimum, need to weigh in here. You have made a well thought out case ( that was not sour grapes by any means ) for an explanation.Using a custom, non–mass-produced pellet in a match that requires mass-produced/ commercially available pellets would almost certainly be a rule violation and could lead to penalties (warning, score penalty, disqualification, or expulsion), depending on the event and organizer.
Let’s let the organizers explain themselves.
I don't see a 100 fpe limit for PAC, but that is a N50 rule. Two different games.I agree. PAC organizers at a minimum, need to weigh in here. You have made a well thought out case ( that was not sour grapes by any means ) for an explanation.
As I understand it, if a shooter shoots over 100 FPE AND….also “uses a pellet that is not widely distributed “ (should be commercially available to all countries ), it’s against the rules.
I saw your WTB classified add for the .70g pellets. Had a good laugh, because I don’t think anyone will sell you any. They apparently aren’t sold anywhere. So, if not, then none of the other PAC participants have this advantage.
