N/A Compressor help

I recently came in possession of a Yong Heng compressor. It has all parts and seems to be well taken care of. I changed the oil to royal purple and followed all directions. For some reason though it is not filling anything up. There is pressure coming out of hose, I can feel it but when I close pressure valve and the valve on back end it still does not fill. Any ideas?

Start as usual with the valves open and start compressor with no load. Close valves then slowly open a tank to add some back pressure to the line, you'll hear the compressor change sound if it begins to build. Then close the bottle again cause you're not supposed to start under a load less than the bottle pressure. Then stop and restart as normal. You're just trying to add a little back pressure to seal up the seals. If you have a big inline filter I would remove it for this step.

Okay thank you!!

Okay thank you!!
Very little back pressure , just crack the bottle open as slight as you can , if you need a
BIT more open very little and not to long , you should hear a difference in sound then close the tank and stop the compressor

A full system pressure test with test plug (pictured), inserted in fill whip (hose) female quick-disconnect, is usual first step in finding compressor problems. Pressurize system, shut down compressor, use soapy water spray bottle to check for leaks. Important to release pressure before restarting compressor. Bringing back test results to forum will help with diagnostic efforts. WM
