Hey everyone!
I was wondering, @RoosterCogburn stated that Take Aim Ammo sells excellent .22 cal. hollowpoint boattail slugs, I am wondering if they will fit in the Umarex Zelos magazine. If not, will they fit in the single shot adapter made by Maple Customs? Thanks in advance, those rounds look super cool! I was wondering if I could find any boattails, as I was looking for long range performance like PBs.

Maybe, maybe the 30, but, probably not. The 1:16 twist rate is needed to stabilize them

The dish based slugs he makes would do well.

They may look super cool, but it is unlikely that the airflow will see the boat tail, as it has to turn through far too big an angle to follow the slug base contour. BC will be better than if the slug did not have the boat tail on the back of it, but only because the sectional density has increased. I personally cannot see that there can be any benefit aerodynamically, but there may be increased aerodynamic problems if the slug is yawing.

If you look at the latest generations of low drag slugs they all have boat tails with a smaller angle, as I have been saying they need for years.

That is actually interesting, that makes sense. So what you are saying is that with how fast the slug is traveling, the air will not flow around the boat tail. Centerfire's have true boat tails, I have been looking for those, but that would only fit in something like an Air Force breech

Their performance speaks for itself. @JaceSpace1369 can vouch for the .177 boat tail version. These are at .135bc and the .177 15 bt is at .104. They perform just a hair better than their dish base siblings.

The zelos has a 1:16 twist barrel @MightyMo

You can likely adjust the reg to shoot 30gr around 850-860 fps.

Yeah I will see about posting numbers sometime this week if this storm allows it.
