Give it a few days. Got warranty parts from them twice now, both times without being given the runaround but always with a few days response time via email…I have a CS4-I that's less than 10 days old and I have under 1 hour of use on it and it will no longer "start" at all now. Just filling guns - no tanks. Everything works corr3ectly except it will not start. It never stopped during filling but quit on the psi setting I had set. Never let pressure sit and also have the QX filter in line. I've sent 2 emails to CX (i bought direct) and have nothing but crickets so far.
May I ask why it is your 2nd?@greenbeans - yes the voltage setting is correct. This is my 2nd CS4 so I am very familiar with the operation.
Are you able to post a photo of the "bad" versus "good" CS3 boards? If you have the QC tag with date... or take the cover off and get a photo of that board, I should be able to tell you if it's most likely the board.
The first one completely froze after 2 years of use. I used it daily and maintained it per GX and what I read here. Locked up tighter than a drum. So I wasn't disappointed that it died as I had other more expensive ones die sooner! Tried to work on it but once I got it apart and couldn't budge the pistons, that was as far as my expertice took me. My shake meter said I had over 500 hours on it and that's about right as I shoot most every day. So it cost me about $180 a year.May I ask why it is your 2nd?
It was a CS4 so the boards were probably different and since I'm still at a loss to the problem, I can't say that the motherboard is the cause. Are you able to post a photo of the "bad" versus "good" CS3 boards?
Well I had not since the unit had not been moved and had been working fine for a week! So upon some fine advice, I took the cover off and looked at it and just "wiggled" all the connections to make sure they were secure. Well, obviously the one on the "Start button" had wiggled a bit (could not tell by the feel) as I then proceeded to try it and I'll be dipped in pig s!!t, it started working. I never follow my own advice "alwasy start with the KISS method"!I have been hearing about some of the connections coming loose but I'm sure you would have already checked them all.
