The pictured group is the first 6 shots I took this morning with the black pepper laminate example, .22 cal. I've been posting groups with this Vet since '18...and still nary a problem. This group was shot at 39 yds off my knee and inspired me to share with the forum just how much I enjoy the Veteran type one platform. The red laminated stock is a standard. 22 the coffee Laminate is a .25 the custom walnut stock is a .177 and the compact Ukrainian example is a .22. All shoot to my standard of accuracy. 5" or better at 50yds...on a good day. I'm especially fond of the compact Ukrainian .22, in such pristine condition and shoots just as sweet...JSB 18s at 840 fps. I have one of each caliber now and three .22s...and plenty of pellets for each...Isn't retirement fun!

The Taipans have always been on my wish list. But up here, there’s about a ZERO chance of ever getting one. Mainly due to the gun laws.
I’ve had to settle with a fleet of HW100’s , if you want to call that settling.

A quick question, if you don't mind. I'm looking hard at the Taipan Veteran II Standard for my "nice" gun, but the ADF model is ~ 100 bucks more than the non-ADF model of the same gun. Is ADF worth an additional hundred bucks? Thanks,

Just for the fact of avoiding a double load. Not having to remove the barrel. Every time you’re unsure if you loaded the gun, it tells you. Pays for itself the first time you have any doubt.

Hey just wanted to share the capability of the Taipan. I posted on the 100 yd 5x5 challenge. But I'll share here since this is for Taipan love. Shooting my Taipan Vetran 2 tactical 700mm in 25 caliber. Shooting JSB KO 33.95 slugs at 953 fps. Just shot this today at 101 yds. Shot the same thing couple days ago was good group but not hitting the bullseye. I cleaned the barrel last night. When shooting slugs clean when you notice a difference in not so much accuracy but not clustering. Have to say I love both my Taipans. The Vetran long and Vetran 2. Both in 25 caliber. This was shot in crosswind coming from left to right variable at 11 mph.

And just for kicks here's the Taipan Vetran Long in 25 caliber shooting AA 25.4 grain pellets at 904 fps. 101 yards with 11 mph crosswind from left to right. 5 shot group average of 1.82 inches ctc

I’m jealous, I only have two. A Ukraine .22 shorty, which I’ll never sell and a standard in .25. They are, without a doubt, the best shooting, trouble free and best built bullpups. I’ve got three friends that have bought them after experiencing mine. And they had never even heard of a PCP airgun before.

Is it fair to say that you like Taipans? Ha Ha…

I had the coffee laminate Vet1 in .25 Long and sold it to fund another new rifle. Came back this year and bought a Vet2 Black Laminate .22 Long with 700mm barrel. I regularly shoot 30 and 40Y target challenge cards with it, and it is amazingly accurate with four different pellets.

I won’t be selling this one.

First 10 shots with this compact .22, same range and condition as the black laminate group but the standard has a 40X scope on it the compact max is 24X...makes a big difference! Point is no reg creep ready to go first shot...

Excellent accuracy is a hallmark of the Vet - not to mention the reliability and the robust nature of these fine air guns. Russell, you amaze everyone with your skill whilst shooting from a knee.
