I like it Ron, I like it a lot.

In my opinion, there's not enough low power/high precision in the current industry push for big power. Your entry is exactly what I love about airguns.
ME too , i like low power .177 . i like taking my 10 meter guns (FWB 600 & 300 S ) . I will try this 5 x5 @ 50 yards / .177 tenex at 5.6 FPE .
home range is 50 yards limit

Augie, you are doing GREAT, man!!!
Ditto!

Makes me want an Epoch. When they make Laminate and Walnut Traditional stocks, I’ll be interested. Not easy to do I imagine.

I reached out to Scout Directly via PM conversation and there are no plans yet, but I’m still trying to plug a new req’t.

Great shooting Augie. Those look like pellet holes and not slugs.

Yes all pellets, sir. I’m not a slug guy at all

And another 5x5 at 100 yds with the Taipan vetran tactical 2 700mm in 25 caliber shooting JSB KO slugs 33.49 gr at 953 fps. Average of all 5 groups was 1.23 inches ctc

And with the kalibergun cricket tactical 2 60 in 22 caliber shooting H&N 217 21 gr slugs doing 927 fps. Average of all 5 groups was 1.04 inches ctc.

So today the Kalibergun beat out the Taipan

Even though this is a small sample, I like what the Cricket is up to more than the Taipan. It’s not about the 1.04” vs the 1.23”. It’s because it’s landing more slugs in the 1” zone you’re aiming for. I just took .025” off the back of my barrel to change the jump on the slug gun I shot earlier in this topic. Haven’t had a chance to do a 5x5 yet. Even though that gun is pretty much a 1” gun, I thought my speeds could be tighter. Will that equate to a better shooting gun? Or did I screw up what I had trying to improve on what can’t be improved upon? My Uragans are like your Cricket. I’m content with the factory offering. But give me a test Impact and I can’t stop. But I do have two that are hands off once I completed them.

Yes I agree. I wasn't happy with the cricket shooting pellets. Then I played with slugs and it showed much more potential for me. I was happy with the taipan until I shot it side by side to the cricket. Although it shoots JSB 33.95 really accurate. I wanted to shoot slugs. Was happy initially and bought 15 tins of JSB KO slugs. Last night I ordered some lighter slugs 30 and 32 grain. So the search continues. I might even revisit the 33.95 pellets at long distance. But that's part of the fun. Unfortunately I live in Michigan. So long range is coming to an end this year for me shortly.
