Welcome to AIRGUN NATION - please introduce yourself here!

The AIRGUN NATION forum was conceived by Ted and will be managed by Airgunners. It is loaded with a plethora of state-of-the-art features that are designed to empower its users. Be sure to check out the video tutorials (located in the Forum Discussion Gate) to learn how to make the forum work for you.

My name is Michael, and I am proud and honored to have been selected as the Administrator of this forum. Like many of you, my love for airgunning began as a child and has matured throughout the years. I grew up in a small town not far from Ted, where my father taught me all about marksmanship. After college I spent a few years in the Caribbean, a few more years on the West Coast, and the last 10 years in Hawaii. In 2012 I married my childhood sweetheart and we recently had our first child. I have a background in IT/Communications, and a degree in Business Management. But my true passion is for airgunning. I enjoy punching a little paper, plinking, and hunting.

My goal is to use the “Aloha Spirit” (and a few simple rules) to facilitate forward thinking and open communication to take our sport to the next level. I encourage everyone to share their pictures, videos, stories, ideas, and questions with the entire community.

Well that’s enough about me… let’s hear about you! Please introduce yourself in this thread.
Hey Chip, what is that sweet looking gun on that picture?

Hey guys (and gals)
I am from VA, but I consider South Carolina my home. I grew up using El Cheapo air guns, but making good use of them😁. I upgraded to a Gamo Swarm Gen2, put that to good use, after 10s of thousands of rounds it lost too much power, I don't know how to fix it. Then... I bought the UX Zelos, that was a game changer. I am so excited to be a member of AN, it is a very useful organization, keep it up guys, keep it positive. I have learned so much since being a member, and I continue to learn a lot, again, thanks all of you who make this possible! I'll be posting some threads as time goes on, hope it doesn't bore you guys, pun intended! LOL!

Man, it is great to have you on the Forum! Yeah, once you get into the world of PCPs there is no going back!!! What kind of budget are you on?

New here, been target shooting my whole life (76 years) mainly Feinwerkbau PCP Rifles and for my powder Rifles I have 3 Anschutz 22 Rifles. Look forward to daily 50 yard practice. NRA Instructor and Chief Range Officer along with Alphabet org Shotgun/Pistol Instructor. Practice keeps you active and sharp, always chasing that elusive little "X" :)

Thanks Mo,
Looking for something ballpark of 1500. Rather have a quality rifle I can rely on for years than maybe something cheaper that could present problems.
Kinda have my sights set on a brk Pathfinder .22

You are welcome, you an military man?
Ooh, wow. That is a good mindset, if I had the money I'd do the same thing! I have a Umarex Zelos PCP, and it shoots like a higher end gun, I have an Athlon Argos Gen 3 6-24-50x scope on it, I wanna get thermal to put on it, but you know how that is, $$$. I have never heard of that gun, it is pretty small, I'd put a moderator on it. What about an FX Wildcat Sniper? That is a sweet looking gun, I don't know much about it though. Another cool one is the Air Arms XS Tactical. There are a bunch of options out there, good luck!

PCP is great! Same impact as powder only quieter and less expensive! Accuracy is spot on with a quality Rifle or Pistol. Target shooter here and an occasional Squirel because they are so destructive and raid the Bird's Nest!! Target shooting keeps you active and the mind sharp! I shoot every afternoon and am fortunate enough to have a range here at the house.

No sir not military. Sounds like you have a nice setup! Thanks for the recommendations I'll check them out.
You don't have to call me sir, LOL! Well, it is good enough for me, and that is what counts, I love the setup, and it puts rounds on target with enough energy to do the job. I'd show you pics of the groundhogs I got this year, I got 17 of the little varmints, all at my next door neighbor's places. Only four of them weren't head shots. Sorry man, don't mean to brag, but I personally like to hear other people's achievements, so I guess that they would like to hear mine, I'd hate to offend you guys if I can help it. I have heard great things about FX, but I have also heard that they have a lot of seals, so just want to put that on your radar. Let me know what you get, I am always excited to hear about new people getting into the sport (and hobby)
