Tuning Bulldog Taurus 257

Setup this Bulldog Taurus BR build for an AGN member, this was a 357. Machined lower with custom trigger assembly, 28 inch 257 1:10 RH twist hammer forged barrel harmonic balancers between barrel and HM CF shroud, tensioned barrel sytem. New valve assembly machined for the 257. cal. Fore stock and rear pictinney rails, 20moa scope rail. Kstyle butt stock, AR grip assembly. 2 tone Duracoat finish in black oxide and dark blue. Weighs in at 11.3lbs She makes 187FPE with 110g Mr hollowpoint slug at 3300psi. She will make 201fpe with a 117g Mr hollowpoint@3500psi. She loves the 110g. Initial test accuracy is very good same hole at 50yds, nickel size group at 100yds. The space in front of trigger gaurd is for custom fit blocks to allow shooter to add weight if desired while fitting within the Taurus size frame. I made 2lb., 5lb. so far. And she is quiet as a cat on a rug imho. Simple, effective shooter.

This happens to be my rifle. I cannot believe the power it produces with literally zero recoil and quiet definitely one of my most favorite PCPs Brian knocked this one out of the park every time I shoot it I giggle producing almost 190 foot pounds and it feels like you’re shooting a.25 at 30fpe. Can’t wait to start knocking coyotes with it. I’ll post some stuff as soon as I get time to get her out and stretch her legs thanks again, Brian.

That's an impressive build. I like custom guns way more then purchased ones anyway.
That black with some blue are the same colors I used on my custom build.

After machining the new valve assembly for .257, how's the cocking force needed to get that much power?
Or does that new valve assembly include a balance valve of some type?

Ummmmmm first of all where the F*** did you two come from and how soon can you upload footage of this glorious beast in action.

That thing looks amazing and I’m not afraid to admit I’m envious. 😂😂😂
I don’t have time this week but next week and I will sit down and shoot the crap out of it. It likes 110 grain Mr. Hollow point but I’m going try some different stuff in that range as far as weight. Like I said earlier, I still can’t get over the fact the power I’m getting out of this thing and it feels like I’m shooting a red Ryder at 50 yards is basically same hole. If you do your part I’m gonna stretch it out to 100-150 yards next week.

Cocking force is one finger. I still have a lot of experimental stuff to do with it right now. I’m filling it to 3300 psi but I’m gonna experiment with some 80 grains at 3000 and see what I get out of it. I can’t wait to knock some coyotes out at 150 yards plus.
