N/A Got an accurate gun? 100 yard 5x5 challenge

Mr Skeptical had another perfect night for shooting so I grabbed the P15 again. Things were going fine until target #4. One wild low shot ruined a great group I had going. No, I didn’t “pull” it. I had an excellent follow through so it was either the gun or pellet. Then target #5 disaster struck. All the shots but one felt perfect. Didn’t have the chronograph running because I was a little too confident in the gun.

I really don’t know what a .25 shooting a 25gr pellet at 100 yards is truly capable of if a guy goes full BR mode. That isn’t my cup of tea with a finicky airgun. All I know is this gun has an excellent barrel and a nicely balanced tune with the components I built for it. But it’s not a sub MOA gun. It can shoot sub but I would declare it a 1.5” gun. I think with a better scope and scrutinizing pellets would keep it around 1.5” or slightly better. I’ll save the sub MOA groups for when I sell it 😉

So, you dropped a total of 14 points out of 250, for a score of 236 (kinda hard to tell exactly)?
If so, that's pretty dang good!!
Top, left target is awesome!
Way to shoot, man!

I was just telling the guys I felt rusty shooting out to a hundred as I’ve been spending a lot of time on the 50 yard crown instead(plus trying to build flower boxes to go under 8 windows!).

It’s the second time I’ve shot the epoch period, in almost a week n a half.
I need to practice more at 75 yards for the qualifiers. I didn’t last year, as I took it for granted, and it bit me in the part that makes noise

Just shot this a little over an hour ago. Five targets, shot competition style one at a time all around then four more times, to simulate shooting 25 different targets and 25 different conditions per shot.

Phenomenal shooting! Plus, you shot them rotation style which is much harder than 5 at a time for each bull.

Velocity, pellets used? Those Scouts can shoot. I wish they made them in a traditional wood or laminate stock.

Here's a target from a few weeks ago. Since the Mora's in pieces awaiting a new .243 barrel and a bolt I need to make.
I made several scope adjustments during these groups. The scope was still off, but not important while testing things out.
The separation between dots kind of shows what I expect at only 100 yards. Dot size approx. .700".

I've been working steadily to improve the performance on my .22 700 Panthera. Based on some very good advise received from this Forum, I switched to 40 grain Altaros King slugs and 40.1 grain ACE slugs and lowered the reg pressure. The the attached target was shot at 100 yards with both the King and ACE slugs with the reg pressure adjusted from 100 to 125 Bar in steps of 5 bar.

It's been very difficult to determine the "best" tune for this rifle.

Is this butcher paper and a bingo dauber? I have made this type of target for years.

Four five shot groups at 100yds, FX Maverick .22 shooting H&N 25gn hp2 slugs at 960fps. I was shooting at the corners, shot top left, bottom left, top right bottom right had to stop and reload for the last two shots. It is a
birchwood Casey target with one inch squares.
