Here are some of mine...
Let's see your most obscure target
@crowski , does your range ever thaw? 🥶 Mine only does for about 6 weeks out of the year...maybe two months. That will surely be a lot of fun! (y) Ya it thaws for at least 7 months, May to Nov. Hasn’t frozen much this year. Nice! I'm putting a lot more gongs out now too, to make it lower...www.airgunnation.com
Note that on the saw blades, I have a 10" Freud that rings pretty loud and has never shown any damage, even with 80 ft lb 30 cal, so I had some old 6" size laying around and used one for a multi hole arrangement. After just a few shots, our 50 ft lb 22s with pellets went right through it AT 100 YARDS. Obviously some differences in metals.
The bell with a 2" slice of 2 x 8" rectangular steel tube is the nicest sound and can be heard easily at 100 yards. I believe it's 3/16" thick steel. The 1/8" rectangular tube was just a "doink"...

So the thickness seems to make a difference. The target I mentioned at the beginning of the thread is 3/8" thick. The tanks mentioned are also pretty hefty.
I got a couple, I'll have to give them a try.I discovered a primo bell ringing piece today. I was in the shop and my eye fell upon a bent mower blade in the rubbish bucket. Its about 24 inches. I drilled a hole at the edge of the middle of the blade, just above the center bolt hole, and attached a free fitting clip. Man, does that thing ever ring!!
If you do not have any old bent blades, I am sure that any small engine repair shop would have lots.
I remember seeing something like thatA couple of years ago here on AGN a fellow made and sold bell targets.
A set of two.
They were basically square steel tubing cut about 4” high.
In each side he drilled a different size hole. 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4”.
One the other he drilled 1, 1 1/2, 1 3/4 and 2”
Inside each square he hung another smaller square bell.
You decided which hole you wanted to shoot at…
I think the guy called his company ABC Targets but I can’t find him now.
The elastic string holds the bell inside and select the hole you want by moving the string.
They work very well.
He had a youtube video, I think.
The target looked like this:

I also remember that, interesting idea , I'm not into making noise but thought that same set up to flash an LED would be cool , maybe in a KYL configuration ?I remember seeing something like that
I think the pubs in England are doing just that now.I also remember that, interesting idea , I'm not into making noise but thought that same set up to flash an LED would be cool , maybe in a KYL configuration ?
