RTI RTI Mora Sniper .25 - First Day

This morning I hit the range for the first time with my new RTI Mora Sniper .25. Other than needing a more stable rest setup on the bench, I am loving this rifle! Here are 6 shots at 100 yards untuned, straight from Talon Airguns.

Congrats! You are making me and my Prophet Performance jealous!

If you got it from Talon Tunes, then I would bet that Tony tuned it before he sent it out to you. He did on both guns I bought from him. Both were spot on right out of the box.

Thanks! That could be. Tony did provide the print out and 10-shot results with the rifle. After this group, the only thing I did was tune the valve dwell time. The rifle was sent with the Plenum at 150 BAR. Max velocity with the JSB King Heavy 33.95 grain when increasing valve dwell timing was 1,060 fps. I found the most consistent velocity spread at about minus 1-1/4 turns from that point, which put me at 1,034-1,042 fps for an Extreme spread of 8fps. I hope to get back out tomorrow morning.

Glad you're enjoying it. I have the 600mm .25 mora. Check out dyno gunner on you tube, he has been very helpful understanding the rifle better. I actually had an issue with my dwell valve the other day, my fps was all over the place. I was able to fix it because of his dwell valve video.

Dont fix what’s not broken. 8FPS Extreme spread is mint. Enjoy the rifle for a while, so it can settle in … regs eg.
I need to check, but i think ought to run JSB King Heavy Mk2 s at 970 fps at 85 bars. 1040 FPS is really hot for pellets… but if it groups tightly, just keep it !! ^^
The rifle is very forgiving for whatever pellet and slug you put in it.

I hope that you are not going to the Pyramid Air cup LOL
Maybe next year😁 Big difference from one nice group vs multiple groups around the target while figuring in varying wind. This rifle has shown me that it is certainly capable, but I’ll need many more hours of range time to even come close to you folks who are well seasoned in the competitions. Time will tell😎
