I don’t think they are removable without ruining the barrel block. I could be wrong. Why do you want to remove it?

That ball is staked its non serviceable. Where does the ball lock to. Detent springs seldom go bad but sometimes the piece the detent locks to wears out. I'd look into the other end.

They finally went the "hw" way with that ems gun thing .. too little too late . ( Though hw has used ball detant)

Im going to put ball detant as my 3ed joke reason why with all Germany engineering advancement they lost the wars
#1- couldn't keep the screws tight
#2- barrel droop
#3- ball detant.

Maybe it’s just the camera angle, but that ball detent looks like it’s staked in too far. Perhaps some shade tree mechanic re-worked it at some point?

Overseas like at chambers they use to sell the ball and spring und r parts i believe.. but...?
Im like hobbyman and as said here its somthing last ditch fix job id onlt tackle if it came completely out or useless . Ball peen and cold chisel hold your mouth right and hope you can stake ot back in right .
Then mdking a compressor to hold ot down in place + be able to work around it to peen .. ya no fun i see ..

True. That or some crud is seated under the ball keeping it too deep. I've had that on old R7s. Sometimes exercising the ball with a dowel end and some good solvent loosens the crud and returns it to full extension.
