So you know what I’m laying down. I figured there was no way somebody would be that far off in a listing and something had changed.

I'm the one with the Skout prices that are being questioned.

This is the page for the Evo: https://www.skoutairguns.shop/collections/evo®

This is the page for the rear rest: https://www.skoutairguns.shop/produ...ustable-rear-rest?_pos=3&_sid=71a75e873&_ss=r

My intention is not to deceive anyone. Are these pages not legitimate?
That site is in Europe ... not the USA

Scott,

Thank you for pointing that out. My browser took me to that site, which noted USD in the top right corner, and I assumed it was the US. It is my error.

I just checked the Skout Configurator page, and revised my ad to reflect the correct Configurator pricing.

Please know that my intention was never to deceive anyone.

I hope Skout is following this, as others could make the same error.

I lowered my asking price as well.

Appreciate your help.

Thank you again.

I wonder if this is what inspired that topic by Bigragu. I figured something lit his fuse, I just didn’t go look for it until I saw the Holy Grail Evo.
Ha, ha yes it was the reason I posted but BBRemedy has made it all good. I told him I wanted to make sure he didn’t end up with a bad rep here on AGN. It’s all good

I tried out the new 28” .22 LW barrel with some JTS 22.07 grain pellets at 50 yards at an indoor range
This barrel is fantastic!

That is some great shooting there!!!
I have been using the JTS 22.07 gr too and they are great, albeit for a few shots and then flyers start again.I have been reading up on yours and other people's comments and it seems to be the norm with these pellets as they foul the barrel quickly.
Could you possibly suggest a lapping/polishing/ waxing product and procedure so that I might extend the clean period of the barrel??Also did you notice a big enough difference in the 28" barrel from the 25"??
Thanks and keep shooting like that!

I'm curious if the flyers you are getting are because of a "bad" pellet? Or do you think it's because of a fouled barrel? By bad pellet I mean inconsistent weight mis-shaped etc.

I have ruled out the deformed or inconsistent in weight pellets. I did spent some time in the beginning, sorting them by weight and it was a waste of time because the biggest difference I ever found was too insignificant to make a difference at the 57 yards which I am shooting them. I also tried slightly lubing them with Ballistol , which slightly increased the clean period , but not by much.

Thanks for the nice comments, i do appreciate them
I have not lapped a barrel. It kinda scares me, and i do not have any spare barrels to practice(destroy) the techniques.
For polishing, i use JB bore paste and bore bright
For waxing the barrel, i use the method described by Motorhead using Trewax, although he recently switched to Briwax
I do clean out my barrels after every shooting session using a brass/nylon brush with some cleaning fluid. I am currently using Bore tech Eliminator.
It is overboard, but i know how my barrel reacts when it is cleaned out and how many shots i need to get it back on point.

Is the 28" better than the 25" ...I would say Yes. from what I have experienced is that it has a slighlty tighter moa at target which becomes more evident when you stretch out the distance. I think the slugs perform better as well. The lower pressure to get the same velocities is also great for your shot count..in most cases, i was about 100psi less with the 28" on my HPR setting than with the 25".

Definitely lube your pellets. I currently use a dry lubricant, but Ballistol will work just fine. I am unsure if a dry lubricant is better/worse than a liquid, but it seems to work out so far, but can be messy.
Hope this helps
Mike

Only changed ( Actually Blended ) them being the "Tre" was pretty dried up being 30+ year old tin.
* Liquid lubes leave a trace on bore surface every shot having the lead dust created every shot collecting on this ever increasing lead sludge layer actually fouling the barrel with semi wet lead muck :poop:

Thank you both very much for your replies.
I have spent a lot of time trying to fix leaks in different places , cleaning and tuning the regulators and learning what the evo needs in under certain conditions in order to perform well, and it does perform really well when everything is in harmony.
I have not touched anything on the main valve and solenoid side yet (hoping not to have to).
I have managed to get 1 rugged hole 5 shot groups with the JTS 22.07 gr and with the Altaros king 40 gr slugs at 975 and 905 fps respectively at 50 meters , only to have them ruined by flyers as the shot count increases.
Clean the barrel out with a brush and Ballistol and after a few shots ,we back again.
It's just becoming tedious and I don't know if it's worth it?
Haven't tried the slugs on their own to see if they too foul up the barrel quickly (they are the 5.52 type and go in quite tight.

Have you tried the AEA 21.9gn? I have had some good success with these too...
