Update from Mac1

UPDATE!! August 16, 2025

Tim contacted me last evening. The pump cups are set to arrive August 20th. Other than that, my Benjamin is done, all that's left is for him to do is install the cup, adjust the pump arm and reassemble the rifle.

With any luck, I should be doing chronograph testing on it by/before the end of the month ... fingers crossed 🤞

^ That's his old phone number. From before he moved from Gardena to Signal Hill.

New address and number

Cheers,

J~
Odd, that's the number he gave me and I've been using to contact him and the zip code you gave is different from the one I used to ship my rifle to him 🤔

I got that info from Yelp!. I've never visited his new shop. Perhaps he hung on to his old number.

Cheers,

J~
I was somehow able to initially contact him through email from an old post on the forums. It took a few days for him to respond and initially, my email bounced back saying his inbox was full, but it automatically resent it twice before he responded. When he did, he gave me the number I listed and after we talked, he said he prefers texting and gave the address I listed so I could ship my rifle to him. 🤷‍♂️

So I take it you're still waiting? Let us know when you get it.(y)
I understood going in that it would take a month or so. I was just just hoping it would be quicker.

I get the impression that Tim finished his part (minus complete reassembly) in around a week, but since he does a complete reseal, including the pump cup (mine had failed and needed replacement anyway), he was held back because he had to wait for his order from Crosman. In his update, his words were: "Will have it ready to go by the 20th of August when pump cups show up."

So in reality, he received it on July 11th and if he ships it back ~ 20th of August, it will only have been 5 weeks, 6 if you include transit time.

Congratulations Don. You'll be impressed with your Steroid Sheridan. (y) Keep us posted.

.
I've already borrowed a chronograph and figured out how to make a bar graph 📊 with Excel.

1st order of business is to mount the scope and zero the rifle (so I don't shoot the chronograph, then test the rufl3 from 1 to 14 pumps and graph that next to the 3 stock rifles that I have FPS charts for using 14.3 gr CPHP's

Helpful hint #1 Don- If using a chronograph that you shoot over the top of, aim HIGH! Don't ask how I know 🤬; but suffice to say this is my third Chrony!

#2- When testing Steroid Sheridans from 1 to 14 pumps, ten shots at each charge level might be enough to draw HARD conclusions.
