Having been suffering far too much stress for far too long lately, much at the expense of my shooting, as the sun approached the horizon tonight I realized not only that the wind had laid almost completely, but I actually had a little time to SHOOT for a change!
Didn't take long to decide what to shoot; something just for pure pleasure, that never fails to please-
While charging Lovely Lucille I decided she might as well be zeroed at 50 yards, since that's the only range I ever shoot her anyway (and always from sand-bagged bench-rest). For some inexplicable reason I've always kept her sighted 1" low at 50, which is where my first group went tonight (as usual, like clockwork).
The fantastic, Japanese made Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16X rifle scope having 1/8 MOA turret adjustments, it takes me a few adjustments to acclimate from 1/4 MOA clicking. But with each five-shot group and subsequent scope adjustment I also reacclimated to the custom Falcon's unique trigger, ergonomics, balance, and firing behavior. Consequently group sizes shrank as the exercise progressed, all while shooting light faded.
Five consecutive five-shot groups at 50 yards averaged .81" center-to-center. The 4th group, though not yet quite perfectly zeroed, might be the best air-pistol group I've ever gotten at 50, measuring .31" c-t-c-
Gratifying as these results are, they're ever more-so considering I resurrected this jewel from near death at the hands of a professional package-handling goon. Here's that back-story-

Resurrecting a classic Falcon custom
Those of you unfortunate enough to know me also probably realize I can be prone to the overuse of superlatives. Especially when talking about my pup Maggyy, red-heads, and GUNS. Some of you might have also endured hearing about my latest wood-working project which I've used a superlative I...
