Fed-Ex lost another one! Just in case someone might see it

FedEx is great as far I'm concerned. Every lost package was paid for and they caught a fraudulent airgun payment to me, without my knowledge and returned the gun to me.

UPS is good but getting a claim paid is not a process you will ever want to go thru. Many people have told me I'm the only person they've ever heard of who accomplished a paid claim on any kind og gun. Thankfully it doest happen often.

USPS is decent if people would stop using Ground Advantage. I've lost more using USPS than the others combined. I had a rifle broken once and that was the most intense confrontational conversation I've ever had. They never coughed up one red cent, and it was fully insured. I had pictures of me opening the package in front of the mailman who delivered it and the package was trashed, so he wanted me to inspect before he left, for all the good it did me.

Looks like different experiences from all over the country.

My wife just lost a big package she really needs. She called the company and they are overnight shipping a replacement at no charge. I think companies are adapting to the new way of shopping. Theses mail and package carriers are doing their best to accommodate a polar shift in shopping after Covid. The people are all great. It is just a big monstrous system

I was expecting a package I purchased through Prime (Amazon). A FedEx truck pulled into the driveway a day early. I went out to collect the package as the driver was stepping out from the back of the truck. He apologized because he had the wrong address and left. The next day a different FedEx truck and driver pulled in and delivered the package.

No movement of the package.
No updates or calls from a representative.
No delivery attempt was ever made ..the package went on a trailer and was never unloaded
I would think they would start to look where last reported, but zero effort has been made
Fed Ex will close the case soon ...will use other carriers in the future
Replacing the rifle will not be the same
It's like losing a friend i have known for years
Have to hold on the a string of hope, but it is gossamer thin
Thank you to all for the well wishes and helpful suggestions
Mike

Fed Ex just plain sucks, if possible I avoid them like the plague, their driver turnover is ridiculous. Im sure there hub workers for the most part are the same way, UPS for me or USPS even though USPS isnt great anymore.
Came home the other day and a Fed Ex delivered 200.00 boat seat was sitting in the middle of my driveway 100 ft from my house and a good 20 ft from concrete apron of my garage. No use for Fed Ex at all.
I was waiting on the fedex truck coming down the street to deliver my vintage turntable. He drove buy tossed it in a driveway 2 doors up.****busted dust cover, the item couldn’t have been packaged better. *** Political content removed.

Think i am done with shipping . If i can not drive and F2F cash , no deals . retired so i will drive most any where depending on what the deal is for or how bad i want it . I was just about to drive to FL but the deal fell thru.
same here, im bored to sh t anyway and always loved road trips ( till you get about 1000 miles from home, ha)
Sold a fragile expensive telescope. Buyer is in Tenn.

I'm done packing and shipping... anyone wants to buy what I have will just have to come get it.
I go to a few Shows ,Super fun to do but do not save any money with travel and rooms food. I would say with what i spend on gas ,rooms ,food in two years i could buy a Thomas , but i would not want to give up the shows .

City of Industry always seems to be a bad Hub, LA in general is bad to have packages go through, San Bernardino hub is the worst, packages far off the Earth into the Void there..... too much Crime, you can't trust the shippers anymore than a Drug Addict on the streets of San Francisco......

The shipper, in this case, has done everything possible to get this solved and has been on the phones as much as me. Just to talk to a person NOT in customer service, but in a claims depatment, was impossible and the claims dept. refused to talk with me until another claim is filed. Yes ...refused!! I would recomend that people insure their package for " Full Replacement" of the item. If they are going to treat customers this way, then make them pay for their mistakes since their "help" is severly lacking

Getting an actual person on the phone at fedex is a chore in itself
