This is the 1st 10 shot group at 50 yards from my DRS Classic 22 700.

I have it set up shooting the H&N 34gr Heavy slugs at 975fps. I did not change any settings to shoot the Ace 40.1gr. slugs, they were going 937 fps.

After 5 sight in shots this is the 1st 100 yard group in gusty 12+ mph wind. I held .2 mil to the left for wind.

#7 was shooter.
The hole in the target is ⅞ of an inch.

Hopefully Airmarksman comes out with a high BC Boat Tail Hollow Point for hunting.

I am going to adjust my rifle to shoot them a little faster.

So far I really like the Airmarksman Ace slugs.

They easily fit in the Orion the Iguana Hunter magazines for the DRS.

looks like a hollow point but it also looks like the hollow point is filled with something?
I'd be interested in the slugs hollow point boat tail of you find them.
where did you buy the slugs?
Mark
They are not a hollow point, they have a flat front.

I bought them from Utah Airguns

I have been shooting them at my KYL target it's 90 yards from my house.

It is very windy today.

Though it's not quite this windy in my yard.

Wind hold was very consistent.

These are probably the best manufactured slugs I have purchased.
The fact that the are packed in a zip lock bag before they are put in a tin helps.

These are slugs from various manufacturers.

I can see why they were competition winning slugs!

Try them at 900/920 FPS as well.. They are similar design to the Altaros slugs and thats is kinda their recommended speed Thanks for Sharing the Pics..

These are what mine look like after rolling around in a tin for a few weeks that gets carried in my pocket or a pouch. (.22 FX Hybrids on left & Daystate Howlers). I wonder why they don't show the same kind of uneven, marred finish.View attachment 585674
Hey Gerry,
I receivedtwo tins of the slugs, and they do not look as rough as in the picture.
They are smooth and uniform…not like tree bark
hopefully, I will get a chance to try them out later

Mine came in this week as well so I raced out and did a quick test last night as it was getting dark
comparing them to my go to Altaros King 40gr slugs, it was getting dark and I was rushing last minute so
when chronographing with the FX true ballistics both strings where shot as weighing 40gr in the chronograph and with a G1 profile.
Shot the Altaros first to settle the reg and warm up the rifle, again groups where shot rapidly in the fading light but are there to serve as a reference

For Reference the rifle will shoot the altaros extremely well and it appears the air marksman have potential but while I plan to do much more thorough tests for reference I don't see anything to make me switch from the altaros at this time. Certainly not the supposed game changing higher BC's than any other slug on the market but the final verdict is still out.

For reference in good lighting here is how the lataros group out of the panthera:

Thanks for posting.. Seems like the BC is identical to the Altaros which would make sense as they weigh and look almost identical.

Looks like the spread was much different though. I wonder if thats due to the uniformity issue as some f the pictures above illustrated.

Let us know when you get some more testing. I also shoot the Altaros 40g at 910 FPS. The much higher advertised BC of these slugs peaked my interest but I was skeptical. I asked them a few days ago what velocity this BC was calculated at but they have not responded.
