What pistol did you shoot today

Nice ...could you tell me more about the Leupold scope ..
I have had this scope for many years now and it's been on many pistols..I bought it for my S & W model 41 comp pistol in 1978...mainly because it was shorter in length.. it's a Leupold M8 - 4X power very clear optics with a duel cross recital so at about 15 meters a 1" dot will fill the larger post ..that helps me stay on target better than trying to watch the fine cross hairs instead...the eye relief is quite lengthy but manageable...I do believe that Leupold still carry's a lifetime warranty still ...1" scope rings.. the Vintage Weaver 1" Scope Rings Mounts With Large Thumb Wheels are my most favorite scope rings to use it's very clean looking over today's rings...there are a few sets left on eBay for about 25 dollars.. eBay item number:388765348256...this one is still available...I just bought the other set...sorry I couldn't help myself...as for the scope I just looked on eBay and almost hit the floor...they are going for 500 dollars used..holy crap..here's the item number if you want to check it out....eBay item number:277106566603....I only took it off the 41...because I started shooting competition plates and I needed a red dot for faster target acquisition...I put on a Quick Point from Weaver...with variable 4,6,8 MOA I can cut cards @25 yards with that pistol...if you need anymore info Steveoo..hit me back...Marker

Umarex Smith & Wesson 586.
I believe I am at least the third owner, the guy I bought it from got it from another guy who had it stripped, polished and chrome plated, including the all important magazines.
Not sure if it qualifies as a 686 now though... 🤔

It's a bit of a fingerprint magnet, so it's going to get a treatment of Renaissance Wax quite soon.
After hearing that ...I would have to say that Pistol is most defiantly a one of a kind ...a Picasso,Rembrandt...I would put that in my coffin with me lol ...so how many shots do you get from a Sparklet...lol..and yes I am making fun of your English..I was checking out the 686 PPC 1500...don't like the black clip on it...they were saying that the tolerance's were too close to color coat them ...doesn't seem to effect your's.... unless there was a design change on that model ...the 686-6 Gold one is growing on me ...Bond 007 issue..Gold Finger

I was watching a YouTube on a Crosman 600..and the guy was British and he called a CO2 Cartridge a “Sparklet”..actually it’s pretty cool …

That's great information friend thank you. It looks very nice with a clean simplicity just like the 150 it's fixed to.

I had a feeling that this 30 dollar Crosman 1600 BB Gun could be a better shooter than it already was....polished the barrel and rolled crowned the end of the barrel tube by .005 to match the BB size…and switched ammunition from Umarex steel 5.1 grains to Crosman Black Widow 5.23…just a tad heavier…big difference…this pistol has the longest 5 lb trigger pull ..the hammer spring is no joke in this pistol…I did a 10 meter shoot and rest set the sights for 25 yards at a 4” steel plate and hit it 12 out of 15 shots…this budget build was more than I could ever hope for …working on plans for next build ..spoiler..Beretta 92A1 Full Auto

Today’s ..Day wasn’t so much as what I shot..it was more about which one could not hold it’s breath after a week…these were recent rebuild and resealing …gave them all a new Sparklet …and time will tell…most of them were excellent a few down insignificantly that wouldn’t mean nothing for a shooting session…but that old saying…there’s one in every crowd…lol..the S & W 79G had a lung 🫁 collapse…pretty sure I left the original hammer valve looked and sounded good at the time…don’t care to much for the plastic ones in the kits but they do work ..??? has anyone out there ever tried to repair a brass hammer valve seal

Yes I do it all the time. This one I use black Delrin, I also open the transfer tube to get more air to the puppet valve.

I thought I was all done for the day when the mail lady walked in the backyard and called a cease fire…lol..she was dropping 2 more pistols for me..A Healthways plainsman 175 and a Marksman plainsman 1045…I own a Healthways 175 but that one used 8 gram sparklets..hard to come by …so I started using Wippets..that they used for whip cream dispensary..N20.. gas…seriously…LOL..I also used in my dirt bike to get the hole shot money..anyway’s I converted it to 12 grams .. have 2 out of 3 working and surprisingly for a Spit Shooter it hits decent.. am not even going to make the more accurate that would defeat the purpose of this gun..they were made to keep pulling the trigger till you hit something or you run out of gas or ammo what ever comes first

That’s ingenious of you to…did you have to modify the brass portion of the poppet valve to fit that style seal you made or does it just press in…if it is a drop in style ..don’t stop there I could use 3 of them and you will be handsomely rewarded …lol

It's pressed in, you have to heat it up before pressing, then cut again the sealing surface like this one for my QB78. Henry Ford makes some replacements, but I like to keep em OEM.

Haven't shot the Morini 162 IE in a few weeks ,, so topped it off and shot maybe 50 or so RWS / R-10 , nice to shoot a perfectly engineered pistol , if only i could live up to it
"I'm not worthy !.

Edit : "feels like 106 , no wind " now just who is the ginny pig they use to judge just what it feels like ?

Today’s job was to repair the S&W 79G that the ORM Poppet Valve finally gave up.. put the plastic one in for now ..works like new again…I want to thank Genob for all his great advice and willingness to share his knowledge with us…out of the 3 that I own... this one is my favorite child …super smooth and the darker color grips…I put a new 12 gram Sparklet in and shot till the CO2 was expelled..how many…allot ….enough to take a smoke break halfway through…..around 60 guessstimating…after shooting and just hearing the pellets hitting the backstop only …I started moving around to make the hole bigger

I finally got my hand’s on the Holy Grail.…after 6 months of searching…The Crosman 600..like new in the Box 🗃️.. paid a hefty some of $250…it was the missing piece in my collection…I rolled out the red carpet for this piece…I think the person sold this cuz the action was jammed with a pellet ..once removed… it was magical…it held air..loaded it with 10 pellets.. I aimed at 10 meters down range and let the big dog bark..quick fire 🔥..people saying they are not that accurate…I disagree with them…this gun has much better balance than the MK1/2…I would say better than all my pistols
