Just curious. But why are so many listings in classifieds PP friends and family? Seems kinda sketchy. I would rather have some kind of insurance on goods and services and pay fees than FAF...

Alot of guys dont like to deal with taxes on airgun stuff,that is the most of it. We also have a great feedback system.

Same. This website has great "community" of people. Never been burned by being careful and only dealing with known quantities or developed relationships.
Integrity matters.

I haven't been in the group long. Ween you say feedback, can you clarify. I mean, i understand you can checkout users profiles and previous content. But reference checks maybe. I buy used crap all the time but try to be careful at the same time. I got taken for 13K as a young adult on a property build and have never been the same lol. Just kinda wondering how most of you go about getting feedback...

Yes feedback is pretty much all documented references. When lookimg in the classifieds feedback is visible and also when clicking on their profile name twice.

If PP is sending non-FF invoice data to the IRS they are sending FF invoice data as well.
Or have they started collecting sales tax??

May be a setting, mine did not allow for people to leave comments for purchases (someone told me it was not working).

I always give feedback , but never request it . Most , always provide helpful feedback , some don't .

Both and they do report to an extent, the bank is who does most of the reporting. On my taxes the goods and services and amount that went through my bank are all that show on my invoices.

Taxes friend, when our current administration lifts the 600 dollar limit back to it's prior 20 grand level, have at it with G&S if you want, I'll bump the price accordingly.

If I had not gone to PayPal FF, oh the many transactions I would have missed out on. But, I have had one or two ... even block me because I would not take GS. Regardless, I followed the lead by estabished members. I understand the counter points. I do wish both buyers and sellers would give feedback, I think its been about 50/50 maybe. Intrestingly, its the more established members that did not return feedback

Yep, no sense having a feedback system if it is ignored by the sellers.
Ive given 3 sellers positive feedback, I have received none, paid promptly with their preferred method.
Then there is the Catch-22
Seller/buyer won't deal with you unless you have X amount of feedback.

Definitely ask for feed back (nicely!) if you don't get any. Some people don't understand the system, some forget. I've had to ask a few times and people have always been cordial.
Agree FF is due to taxes. Also, PP is not an insurance policy for either party. There is really no back stop. All payment and shipping methods are subject to scams. Buyer and seller beware.

The 3 i dealt with all had a lot of feedback so they know how the system works. They also receive notice of my feedback.
Inexcusable to not leave feedback, especially if you are the seller.
