Had some extra time off this week so I just wanna get out on the trails but so damn hot. I'm out by sunrise but I'm done by 8am, by then it's already over 90 degrees. Not much moving in this heat but I did see a deer early, picture is kind of crappy cuz it was still dark out and unfortunately not deer season so no venison today.

Anyone else a bit warm? Ready for some cooler weather and get more shooting in.

That's HOT! During the summers here in Texas I typically only venture out to shoot in the morning.

This summer has been rather mild compared to last (in which we already had 30+ days of triple digits).

I've been saving this picture for August, but your post seems appropriate!

FIRE!

That's Africa hot ...but at least dry heat. LOL?

I speant two summers in SC during two back to back drought / heat records w many wet bulb 4s. Hotlanta too in the 90's. It was way too much for pasty-white me. W things going the way they have been those records have definately been broken. The SE is no joke when it comes to heat & humidity indexes. Hurricanes too. I'm sure there are some worse places to live in the summer but really not sure why millions put up w it.

It's been dipping into the low 70s at night here, so the daytime low 80s feel good on these old bones. Don't hate me for it

Dry air definitely helps, I spent time in SC also, way back in my Paris Island days and the heat + humidity was no joke. I'll take 95 and dry over 85 and humid anyday....but 105+ is a bit warm

Areas of the Corn Belt are probably a bigger hell than much of the SE now that Ive thought on it. They get a combination of extremes plus tornadoes. It's not called flyover country for no reason.

Southwest Virginia here. Been in the upper 80's with 70+ humidity for most of the past 2 weeks. At work it's a PITA basically a warehouse with only a few fans that don't do much. Sweat all day and it just clings to you. I carry a 1gal jug of flavored ice water and it's empty by end of my shift.
I spent a summer in Florida once, that was real humidity. Clothes on the clothes line could hang all day and still be damp in the afternoon.

That's one thing about dry heat, it's hot but you're not just dripping wet. When it's hot and humid just everything sticks to you. Stay hydrated lol

Next thing you know it'll be cold in the winter ...
Average temp here in December is 66 degrees which is awesome!!! Much better than when I lived in Wisconsin and it would get below 0 degree fahrenheit. I would rather deal with a couple hot months here than 5 months of winter back in Wisconsin
