Crosman Crosman 1377 pellet choice question

I have been working with 1377 trying to get it to group, I have been using Crosman 7.5g pellets but are not grouping very well 1 to 1/2 inches. I was curious as to what others are using that gets better results. tried every thing from 3 to 10 pumps. normally just use it for back yard plinking.
Would a heavier pellet work better than the lighter ones.???

Give the barrel a good cleaning and try some heavier pellets. Some barrels really like wadcutters, some prefer domed or hollowpoint pellets.

I think it's a conspiracy to drive the sale of more pellets. (And yes, I do blame the Russians. Still.)

Normally they like Crosman 7.9 premiers, but those seem to have gone away. The next I would try, are H+N ftt and JSB Exact 8.4. Is this a new or old 1377? Crosman barrels used to be pretty accurate, but sometimes respond good to a redneck recrown.

I shoot H&N FTT 8.4 or 8.64
If shooting paper then Wadcutter flat nose pellets R- 10 by RWS

Another vote for the JSB / AA / FX 10.3's. They shoot very well out of my .177's. However, every barrel is different so test them all. It's a rough job but someone has to do all that plinking. Soup cans beware.

Taking these recommendations I have ordered a couple more cans of pellets in various weights, keep trying different ones.
