new guy to airguns

OK folks, I have bit the bullet, or actually the pellet.
Stopped of at my LGS. Ordered a Benjamin Marauder, 22 cal, synthetic stock.
Stopped off at Amazon. An inexpensive compressor, a Vevor. and a spinning target to shoot at (G).
A small step for mankind, a big step for me!
Now comes the hard part, learning how to lie convincingly about your shooting success. ;)

bs to all that stuff, until you know what you really want to do , just get a good simple gun that has much good reports and good reviews.do not need all that stuff when starting out.Hand pumping is easy if the air gun does not nee to go pass 3000psi.....it also depends how much money you want to spend .you better off with Benjamin PCP FOR THE MONEY....
I wish I would have started there instead of the Beeman Cheif2, and Gauntlet2. I wound up pulling out the cash and got an FX Crown.

To the OP - how'd you decide that so fast ? LOL. I'm in the same boat as you (even close on age) and I been dwelling on this stuff for months ! Congrats on your choices, hope you have a blast with PCP's. I hope to be in the near future. Good luck !.
Watched a lot of videos, read a lot of postings. Settled on PCP. Had a text file where I entered names and prices of different guns. Nother text file where I copied and pasted interesting tid bits. Noticed a lot of subject matter on youtube about the Marauder, including improvement tweaks. Wrote down "Benjamin Marauder, 22 caliber, synthetic stock" on a piece of paper. Gave it to my dealer at the LGS. Said "Can you find this?". Couple of minutes later "How does $504.00 sound?" "I said "GIMME!!" So its in the mail..

When you indicate how long the fish was, and someone else indicates a longer fish, do you incredulously respond, "Between the eyes?!?".
Growing up I fished alot in freshwater. Then I joined the Coast Guard, lotsa time on saltwater. Lotsa saltwater fishing. Just can't get into freshwater any more..Poles.reels, tackle boxes, etc all gathering dust. Lotsa water here in Michigan, just don't feel like buying a boat and a truck to pull it so I can go muskie fishing (G)..

Spent 5 years of my youth in the UP. Great fishing, but a friend had a boat moored on Superior or on one of lakes.

A lot of fun was Smelt run on the Escanaba river. 100-200lbs of fish. But it was a LOT of work to get them prepped, smoked or frozen, before they went bad.
