Rti mora - under bottle rail is weak

Any heavy duty rails that can be added to the rti mora? Their bottle guard rail is flimsy. Way too much give.

I’m surprised to see you have issues with a bottle guard rail. I have a bottle guard rail on my Mora and it’s rock solid…absolutely no give…pic attached. I installed a picatinny bipod rail and setup a heavy duty Accutac bipod….very very solid setup!!!

So far, yours is apparently the exception. I commented on Joe Polanco's thread asking how he manages with it mentioning the issue I had and he also found his unusable. he replaced his with a modified swiss arca rail 14" to fix the issue.

I agree completely that the bottle rail has a lot of flex. My rail came off within the first outing or two and was replaced by a small M-Lok pic rail that I just use to mount to a tripod.

With @mlayton60564 setup the bipod is too close to the trigger to notice the flex. Move you bipod out towards the end of the rifle in a more standard setup and you'll start to see the flex - especially if you are setup for more powerful shooting.

I've since picked up this EagleVision extended rail (available in Pic or Arca). While it is not 100% without any flex, it is much better than the stock rail. It's not the greatest for tripod use, but works well for a solid bipod based bench setup.

I passed on the Mora for now but bought a .22 P3 Compact from Tony ant Talon Tunes and added a Saber Tactical universal large Arca rail. It's like 7" long but pretty sturdy. Good enough for my tripod use. I don't need it way out in front like when using a bipod off a bench. Of course the P3 Compact is nowhere near the weight/length of the Mora.
