When installing a new, empty, air bottle on a charged gun, is it necessary to de-gas the gun first?
I've never seen an FX tank without a valve. The "depends on the gun" comments are referring to whether or not the gun has a valved tank or not. Some newer guns have a valve in the tank that allows for the tanks to be swapped when full - a great feature for out in the field.
If your gun does not have that feature, you'll have to degas to swap the tank as there will be nothing to contain the pressure in the tank.
Yes you can swap bottles in the field.so is a field swap possible on an fx crown mk2? I am thinking of buying an extra bottle then no need to go back to the car for a refill
Sort of, can you, yes will you get the same max pressure, no, close but no. The one liter will be the closest. Somewhere here on the list a smart guy has a write up on it.another related question, if opting for a whip plus 3 litre or 1 litre bottle to take with you can these be refilled at home from a 12litre bottle?
