Hatsan Help 6" groups

Hi Guys
This is my first post. I need some help.
I bought a Hatsan Flash-R QE .25.
Back in September. I've tried every kind of pellet (brand, weight, style etc) the best i can get is 6" groups at 40 yds. That is not acceptable. I need at least 1" groups. I have a good scope Hawkeye 4x12 adjustable objective. I'm 67 and I shoot a lot. Is there any fix for this rifle?
Should I cut my losses and get a better gun? I've had other pcp rifles. Air force, Benjamin. The Air Force was accurate. But was a single shot. I wanted a repeater. What do you guys think?
Thanks Deafelf

This air rifle should be able to shoot with much better accuracy. Now you must be a detective to find out what is the Real problem.
Is it the bore, the crown, are the pellets clipping ,how does the magazine line up,make sure the scope is mounted right, what is the FPS?
Shoot it at 15yard,show does it shoot? try 20yds,is it producing enough power to push the pellets out 40yards...Be a detective,if nothing works try to get your money back. Go online and read some reports there also.,What does the seller say....It is a step by step process, good luck(y)

I agree with the top too comments. The easiest thing I can suggest doing it to removed the shroud and inspect the components inside to make sure your pellet didn't destroy them by clipping. Also remove the barrel, get yourself a wooden dowel from HD or Ace Hardware and push the pellets through and see in what shape they come out, and if the crown is hindering.

The flash/flashpup platforms are great in all calibers, sometimes a bad Hatsan barrel slips. But they are very helpful, at least they have been with me.

Welcome to the best A G N
what pellets are you using ? I assume you have cleaned the barrel ? checked the crown ?

I guess you could check barrel looseness and i assume like old theres grub screws and orings holding it in the breech area . Also be careful not to over tighten them grub screws or it could damage the barrel as said here for example.

If you got a referb deal gun that could be a possibility that happened

A chronograph would be key to see how fast its shooting. What about the breach o-ring? If that's cracked or missing that would cause a huge reduction in speed and accuracy. Many hatsans come with a package of o rings

Find out why is my suggestion. Turn down the power more and make sure your gun is level every time is my first try. I've found that lots of air movement when exiting the barrel tends to make wobbly open groups more often than the gun itself. This isn't a rule, but it's free so I try it first.

2nd thing I look at is the velocity overall and the pellet weight. Guns choose pellets, not us more often than not. Best of luck.

I just put a new optic on my disco with a level bubble and realize my groups get really wild if not observing the bubble. If I watch and keep the gun in the same position every shot it's as precise as my fx stuff with crosman pellets instead of jsb. As disappointing as it is to say I AM THE VARIABLE.. So much so that just my canting the rifle is good for 1 inch of error in any given direction if im being hasty.

6 inch is a different ball of wax, but i think you can overcome it. Worst case I'd touch up the crown on the barrel if that's in your wheelhouse and as others stated check the shroud and moderator for alignment and clipping. If that all checks out, my first post ought to start showing you some improvements.

It took me a while but I had to learn that a small velocity loss isn't the end of the world when it comes at the price of a large accuracy loss to keep that velocity or power figure I was chasing.

I am shocked. I contacted Amazon customer service to get a copy of the receipt to return it to Hatsan for repair. I explained that it had never worked right. Amazon said because i was a loyal prime member they gave me a complete refund for the order including other items in the order. And said i could keep everything. WOW! Didn't see that coming. 3 cheers for Amazon!
I'm a happy customer 😄

Hatsan AirMax Pcp Rifle .25 Cal 1000Fps Bullpup

Any feedback on this pcp. I might want to up my pcp to $600 class. How about suggestions. .25cal 1000Fps is im looking for.
Not heard anything bad other than typically Hatsan and heavy. It starts out at 14lbs without a scope. That is a beast.

Are not many 1000FPS .25 rifles under 1,000. You can tune up an AirForce Condor to over 1000FPS but not under $600 unless you find one used.

Why 1000fps? Why not whatever speed is most accurate? Don't get hung up on numbers but DO go for most efficiency & accuracy. High fps numbers don't mean squat. See first where your gun functions BEST! This mistaken concept has been posted about over & over on this forum. The gun decides where it shoots best, not the owner with some arbitrary number in mind. My 3 guns are incredibly accurate. Not a single one near the 1000fps range. (868-920fps)
