Crosman has Released a .457 Benjamin Bulldog

Crosman should have developed the Bulldog platform in .22 .25 and .30 before doing the .45

Also develop a rifle version both Classic wood and tactical out of that platform,.......Bigger airtube then Marauder, sidelever rather then the crunchy Marauder bolt, better magazine system, and of course an action that lends itself to easy tuning.

Well the Taurus does 370FPE w a 185g based off the BD357 platform and .75 inch groups at 200yds
Sooooo yes we have torn down the 457, in a nutshell it is a 357 with a 457 barrel and probe, they have raked the stock valve face back sligtly more allowing for a bit more air flow, they also installed a heavier hammer spring, slighlty longer airtank. As well they added a trianguler shape support that sits between the stock halfs for better support. The cocking handle has been made thicker. In my initial test 380 was best it would do with there 350g slug at 3000psi. That being said yep time to see how well we can get her singing. Over the next 2 weeks I will be making changes to the 457 platform (code name Brahma) and keep folks posted here if they are interested in the results. The 350 is too heavy IMHO, we will be testing the new setup with 260g, 288g, 300g, 330g hollowpoint and spitzer rounds.
@bthurman Did you ever release the .457 Brahma?

He never did in fact, another member was burned in trade n some work on his .457 he might be good working on a gun that needs no custom machining.. but custom work NO NO .. i would not trust his skills in custom work he simply SUCKS.. the 308 he work for me made the power but the barrel work was simply Garbage.. you could not hit a barn at 40y . And every one should have seen his messages about how great that gun was shooting.. when in fact . It didn't.. why send a client a gun like that .?? I will never understand that kind of people 🙄.

Mercado you are wrong the 308 is an excellent air rifle. The gentleman that owns it, is very happy with the performance and accuracy. You failed to follow instructions and your attempt to Maline my name and work will not be unanswered. He and his wife are great hunters and have taken a lot of game with the 308 off there property. As far out as 125yds. They as well purchased another for his wife after shooting the 308cal. Your fault if you could not hit a target passed 40yds. Come to Texas and will take you to the hunting grounds and he will be happy to let you take as many hogs as you want. Grow up.

You know you are a class A lier .. the 2 factory mag you where supposed to modify didn't even came back never .. the guy i sold it to .. sold it again in a month after he purchased.. maybe the next know how to do proper barrel work, n the gun is shooting now because there is no way, the work you did on that barrel could shoot straight.. what instructions are you talking about i had at the time a 357 bulldog to so there was nothing new about it.. why I talked about it again now .. it will be a sad thing to see another member that really can't aford to lose 2k + in a really bad machining to lose such amount of money. About the 457 valve.. the truth is that you simply don't have the skill to make it work.. nothing that requires a skillful machinin and you know it .. my feedback here speaks for me and what kind of person I im .. I'm a MAN of my word you don't.. I don't care about you .. I care about no body else getting burned.. what i lost is lost i really don't care about that either.

So this was the response of the buyer.. i imagine that he either knows the instructions to shoot a bulldog..so the gun end again in your shop, and you find a competent machinists to finally finish the job in a way that maybe it finally work..because there is no way you fixed your self.. the same way you could not make the 357 balance valve work . If someone get burned again atleast it can say that he did knew..

@mercado I realize you have had a bad experience with that shop, but this thread isn’t about you. You’ve already created a feedback thread detailing your experience. What are you trying to accomplish by hijacking another thread and going on a Rant talking about the same thing? What’s it going to change?
That other member don't get burned..isn't for you that enough .. didn't i answer your question about what happened with the valve..you didn't ask me..but i was the only one who's know the correct answer.. I could aford to waiste 2k+ but they are other hard working member that don't.. by people going by without remember.. others will lose.. you don't like it..don't read it .. this is the second time i have talk about it, so I can't really see what your problem is ..

@mercado I had not stated that I had a problem, but since you asked I will oblige. This thread is about the .457 Bulldog. Not you and not the modded .308 you wanted. When I first addressed you, I was curious as to why you chose this thread to address an old personal issue. You seem to feel entitled to derail a thread and expect it go unnoticed or unchecked. I don’t want to read about this all over again with nothing new being introduced. This is the third thread I recall reading about your issue. Now it sounds like you’re whining and it looks like you’re intentionally harassing Brian. I have no dog in this fight, but I don’t want to read you complaining about the same incident over and over In my thread. I didn’t tell you to spend money with that shop. If people want to inquire about a shop they can ask members before shopping, search and read, or make an impulsive purchase. Since this isn’t a thread focused on that shop, how do you think someone looking to do business with them is going to find what you have to say in this here? How are you helping others in an obscure thread? What is happening here is your bickering is detracting from the purpose of this thread.

@mercado I’m not saying you need to ask permission to derail a thread. Most people won’t, but courtesy is still a thing. I’m not offended, but it’s annoying to see this go on all over again. I didn’t assume that you had bad intentions, but I don’t know what your intentions are, so is asked. My primary concern is keeping my thread focused upon the topic.

@bthurman Thanks for the response. Have you modded a .257?
Found an answer to my own question. I forgot about this rifle.

I haven’t seen anyone modify the, .457 Bulldog. I see an option for a Power Pitbull upgrade on Pitbull Airguns site, but I don’t see any videos on it or velocity numbers on their site. Anyone know anything about it?
