Those MK1’s are true keepers. One of the most iconic Co2 pistols ever made, IMO, and one of my favorite shooters. Stock up on extra seals and valves, because you’ll be shooting that thing for many years to comeAfter waiting a week for it to arrive it showed up yesterday…my Crosman MK1… .22 cal…what a thing of beauty…never have I shook hands with a grip that felt so right…this pis probably hasn’t been shot in over 40 + years…seals were rock hard…it broke my pellets trying to get the piercing pin seal out…I was able to get the bolt seal on as well…popped a new power-let in and perfect no leaks….held air overnight..was up at the crack of dawn to test fire it…shot 25 rounds off the bag at 10 meters…did very well for not having my coffee yet

Yes they are…I felt like I was shaking my own hand …I closed my eyes and lowered the pistol and opened my eyes and the sight picture was dead on …the cant was perfect…so how do I explain it to all the other guns that they will be taking a back seat for awhile…Mr Reximex has quite the chip on his shoulder now…lol..he is having his 1st birthday today…lolThose MK1’s are true keepers. Nice shooting! Looks like lots of fun!I shot my Crosman 1701 S at 1/10th scale NRA Silhouette animals 10 chickens at 10 yds, 10 pigs at 12.5 yds, 10 turkeys at 15 yds and 10 Rams at 18 yds.
Results - 7/10 chickens, 8/10 pigs, 7/10 turkeys and 5/10 rams.
My animals are 1/4 inch thick and just about the limit for a 5 ft-lb pistol, but they go down and you don't have to chase them 10 feet to find them.

I had to tear mine down several times before I got all the leaks fixed. The valve body was also a stubborn thing to pull out, and I ended up having to replace all the Orings associated with it as well as the actual valve. What did I “Fix” Today…I am on # 2 out of 3…S & W…78G & 79G Air Repairs…# 1..wasn’t to bad just leaking at the piercing seal..top end was fine…Butt # 2..well we all know what that means..”poop”..this thing was leaking like a macaroni colander ..full tilt tear down…this gun looks new …but never judge a book by its cover..how true…it has never been apart…parts were stuck but good …managed to get it apart and replaced all the seals except the valve…the one in the kit was plastic junk…was able to flip the seal..ok pur it all together and the cocking lever was sticking …took it apart 3more times..nothing wrong that I could see…I never checked it first ..to know if it was like that before…this must be a later model it doesn’t have a adjustable trigger…well it hold air and if is functional …by the 2nd CO2…it seems to have fixed itself…right now I don’t know and don’t care ..it’s working…not to impressed with the grouping so far…let’s see if hold air tonight and I will give it another “SHOT”…lol

For me it was the tube for the power setting adjustment..it was like frozen in time…was hoping I didn’t have to drive back to the shop for a extractor…I bought the Midway kit on Amazon and saw this tapered thing had no idea what it was for…now I do stuck it in gave it a few taps a little twist and came ri out …the valve I was able to hit the pin with a punch popped out…but I did have to polish it to install itI had to tear mine down several times before I got all the leaks fixed. I shoot off hand two handed. I never started one handed and I think you would need a pistol with a little better trigger.Nice shooting! Looks like lots of fun!
I have two sets of the 1/10 Silhos ordered from Quality Targets, should be here soon so I'll be giving them a try with my pistols.
Do you shoot offhand? One or two handed?
You didn't include a pic of your 1701P? Open sights or ?? I think I need one of those!!
Ohh! Yes … that damn hollow tube. I had trouble with that too, and ended up using a bolt extractor to bite into it and free it up with a few twists. Not wishing to go through that again. I drilled a small hole in the tube that a small pick could grab and pull. For me it was the tube for the power setting adjustment..it was like frozen in time…was hoping I didn’t have to drive back to the shop for a extractor…I bought the Midway kit on Amazon and saw this tapered thing had no idea what it was for…now I do stuck it in gave it a few taps a little twist and came ri out …the valve I was able to hit the pin with a punch popped out…but I did have to polish it to install it

good idea... just another way to skin the cat....don't forget about that plastic transfer port seal between the valve body and barrel....I have one more to do yet...#3...I am hoping this one isn't a ...piss and crap at the same time...LOL...That one I just did in .22...I paid good money for that one from eBay...it was described as fully functional....I wrote the guy last night for a 100 dollar refund for the kit and my troubles...other wise he can have it back in parts only...lol...I have 3 ...38T's to reseal next...I think the one that gave me the biggest headache was the Crosman .357...and then the 2 Beemen Tempest were runner up'sOhh!
