Those of you fortunate enough to own both a weihrauch in the standard bluing and another in stainless. Which finish do you prefer? Thanks!

I have a HW50 in stainless, and an R9, and a HW97K both in standard bluing. I like both finishes, but what interests me is which of the finishes will hold up best over the long haul.

Stainless LOOK , i an reasonably confident both coatings will hold up equally well although i have no idea what the stainless look coating is ?

I have a Beeman stainless that came with a synthetic stock. The previous owner then traded the synthetic for a nice HW97 wood stock. I much prefer stainless in wood than synthetic.
Blued in synthetic like one of my HW30s Makes a great truck gun or a woods walker where the treatment of the stock is not as important.
The rest of my HWs are traditional blued and wood.
I like them all.

I'm pretty sure its a nickel alloy.
They never appealed to me. Same as some people don't like laminate stocks. There's no practical reasons not to like either, only emotion. Purely esthetics.

I have a HW50 (new style wood stock) with a stainless coating, it is definitely not galvanic, but in any case it is more practical than the usual one, it is not afraid of water.

Because Stainless Weihrauch's in .20 are out of production at the moment.
If Weihrauch wants introduce .20 to the stainless line up, then I would be more likley to pull my wallet out!

I do like blueing better.

I have 5 stainless. One is a 97 .20 cal. blue lam. a favorite. Looks really good IMO.Blueing!

Absolutely IS NOT stainless ... but a silver / nickle plating on carbon steel. ( In lieu of bluing )
Sure makes for a sexy looking rig paired with dark Walnut

Thanks. Want to buy a 95 or 98 to put into this. I think a stainless would look slick. But so darn expensive. Gonna keep my 98 in its current stock. Maybe ill swap it out, who knows

AOA sold these diopters at a ridiculous price a couple of years ago, as well as irises. I bought one in a set with two irises.

A friend of mine asked me for a front Gehmann adjustable aperture, he is 75 years old and still shoots seriously at 10m, I couldn't say no to him. The rear color diaphragm and diopter are on my HW30, I will not part with such a set until the day I die. The whole set cost $286 then, which is half the real price. I think real price is about 650.There was a thread about this sale on the forum.Oh! I missed that! Okay, I'll buy at a ridiculous price if you're selling!
