Beautiful GK1. Just curious, was it price or aesthetics that you chose Rustics shroud opposed to Kraz Cools Mountain metal shroud?Happy with my Shorty! Now all that remains is a proper red dot and it's done. Props to Ethan Corb and the amazing parts he creates

It looks great from a distance, but as soon as I zoom in and see those print-lines and jagged edges I'm immediatly turned off.
Both are metal. But it simply came down to aestethics. I prefer Ethan's design. No other other reason really, haha. I don't need the pic rail or the front sight, since I'm using a red dot and a plate mount.Beautiful GK1. How are you liking your new loading gate? Have you forgot to put it back on after loading? Thats the only thing I see myself doing. I haven't yet knock on wood.Happy with my Shorty! Now all that remains is a proper red dot and it's done. Props to Ethan Corb and the amazing parts he creates

I haven't forgotten to put it back on, so far so good, hehe. It looks really great. It takes up a lot less space since it doesn't have a hinge. The finish is also great. Definitely would recommend ^^How are you liking your new loading gate? Have you forgot to put it back on after loading? Thats the only thing I see myself doing. I haven't yet knock on wood.
The GK1 has several reasons being loud. Muzzle blast can be significant. A custom LDC that has a reflex design takes care of most of the blast even at 36 FPE.I received my new .22 GK1V3 regulated a few days ago. I asked for about a 20ftlb tune with 16gr pellets. The regulator is set to 165. It arrived full @ 300 bar, cool. So I put my SUMO on thinking that should be OK for the basement, wrong this thing is loud. I can't imagine shooting in the backyard with it set to 40 ftlb...

I checked the speed and it was right around 800 fps. I was in the process of printing a couple of @subscriber contributions and put off shooting any more until I could try them. It turns out that the round 6" offset hole is a bit better than the medium dual cylinder and both are better than the SUMO. Still to loud to shoot in the basement without disturbing my wife and dog. Not a big deal I can just turn the power down. I'm only killing paper.

KRAZ COOL had the power turned out 1.5 turns, it's now at 1. Speed is now about 620 and 13.7ftlb. This made a very noticeable difference. Next time I'm going another 1/4 turn lower.
Yesterday I shot 190 pellets (19 round mag) and wasn't thrilled with the 10 yard results. Quarter size 5 shot groups with an occasional flyaway outside that. Mounted by the way, no freehand. Humm, hope it gets a lot better if I polish the barrel. Then I saw flakes on the table, lead flakes lots of them?

Loading the mag is a chore! Not fun at all. I was shaving off part of each pellet during the load process. Good thing my Rustic Industrial Customs loading gate showed up todayInstalling it made a big difference. Dime size holes no fliers. It still takes longer to load than a removable mag. It takes no time at all to empty the mag! Speaking of the mag, wow it is pretty violent when indexing shots. No wonder there needs to be what is it? 140 bar to insure full proper movement. And if it dosen't make the full index it backs up to an empty chamber.
It's easy to get carried away pulling the trigger. This gun is fun to shoot for sure. Maybe it's a good thing it takes a while to load.
Last 12 shots

@DonEnzone Please post a link to a credible source of information on this if you have one. A .30 cal K1 would be nice to have.So apparantly there are 2 new GK1 models coming out. The GK1 Mini (which is basically Huben's own take on the Shorty), and a .30 cal version. Not sure if the mini will also come in .30. The mini will come out end of summer 2025 in the US, and the .30 is still TBA.
Never thought Huben would actually make the jump to .30 cal, since they've been reluctant to do so for so long.
Oh and the K1 will also get a .30 version. You can get more details on Gregor's YouTube channel. Im curious how much power you can get out of it.
Like I said, it's on Gregor's channel. He designed the GK1, so he's as credible as it gets. Im actually surpised no one is talking about this here.
Dear Jamie,
Thank you very much for choosing Huben products! We will try our best to supply more and good products to customers!
Kelly works with us for a very long time, he is very professional on Huben airguns, we are very happy to work with him. Both Kelly and Zachary worked very hard on promotion Huben airguns in the past years. The situation you mentioned, frankly speaking, it's very difficult for us to jump in, if they are Huben original products, we are able to control, but upgraded products, we don't have the right to lecture. Pls kindly understand!
To meet the additional requirement of customers, we will have GK1 Mini version very soon. Also, .30 caliber will be available later. Early next year, we will have a different new model, too. Pls kindly note, thanks!
Have a nice beginning of new week!
Best Regards
Jacky
