𖤓 I love the way that H&N wants to hear from their customers.
𖤓 And I love their openness to apply
German engineering to airgun projectiles.
There seem to be a considerable group of shooters who like wadcutters (or semi-wadcutters) for short-range pesting.
They swear by the bricklike impact and large hole wadcutters make in the quarry. Always provided the wadcutter has
a high level of precision (something that the hollow points with the extra-wide cups don't seem to have for a larger group of shooters [but that's just an impression, no statistics or anything....).
I have been reading up on wadcutter use and effects and would concur: It's a good option.
Heavy wadcutters for today's powerful PCPs were rare (and needed!) — until recently when JTS started offering the 18.8gr (and Apolo/Air Boss the 17.0gr).
Here and there I keep hearing the regret that there are no
.25cal wadcutters.
There is the Eun Jin/ Air-Ventury Seneca "dome" that is almost like a semi-wadcutter in .25cal, but it's heavy: 35.8gr.
A .30cal wadcutter would be interesting, but I doubt there'd be enough interest to warrant large scale production....
