Small tank bought off internet ?????????

I bought a small tank off the internet , E bay--Amazon I forgot who,,,, Anyway I call it my football tank,
It was sold as a carbon fiber tank, But it does not look like any of my other C/F tanks,
Does the writing on the tank any since to anyone out there....
If its not carbon fiber I will not use it , I will just toss it , Or shoot it for sport , aluminum tank is very dangerous, BOOM.

It “could be” carbon fiber. Some manufacturers will put a thick coat of resin over the fibers to protect the carbon fiber plies. Hard to say by the pictures without a closer inspection.
If the manufacturer clearly stated that it was carbon fiber then by the pictures and manufacturer statement it probably is carbon fiber.

Thanks, I sure hope so, Just filled it again today with my other tanks , I don't like aluminum tanks,
Just a FYI, the Carbon fiber goes bad and leaks, The aluminum goes boom, Big big difference, I think.

CF tanks are aluminum wrapped with CF. As a general rule the CF would keep the aluminum together. A small split with a lot of air should be the normal fail mode. However you can apply enough energy to damage the aluminum tube to cause explosive release. Crushing, shooting, beating etc and boom time.

Can you get a good, clear picture w/o the flash? Too blurry in one pic, too much flash to read coding in other or see fiber wrapping in either (if there is any). It APPEARS that mfg date is December of 2021 but that's not the way USA bottles are coded so I won't swear to it. It doesn't look like it has cf wrapping but pics make it difficult to verify.

EDIT: After viewing pic below, it's a cf tank, heavy resin coating & yours is 12/2021 mfg date.

Why only DOT? If you have a compressor CE or GB certified are fine and cost significantly less.

Call me crazy but I like my high pressure tanks to be DOT certified at least once before I start using them.

Thanks guys as long as its Carbon fiber I am OK with it,,, And yes I have had a Carbon fiber = C/F fail on me filling it to 4500 psi and It showed 2 years to be still good,, I aired it up again and it failed again,, Soap spray bottle showed nothing ,,, I had to put it in a bathtub full of water to see all the little leaks... Had a small aluminum tank fail with a boom that shook the kitchen,, Yes a small aluminum diet coke can 12oz exploded in the closest,, Yes the aluminum failed ,,, I would hate to see that happen to a 4500 psi tank, Blow a hole inn the wall,, My mind clicked .This is the safety of the C/F tanks....
You could not give me a aluminum tank,,, crazy....
