FX Going to buy a new FX ? Do it now. I mean like right now

Tom at HP Pneumatics said the tariffs finally hit FX and their prices would be going up across the board at all dealers due to MAP pricing. Plus even though someone in charge thinks some businesses should eat those costs that isn’t how it works. I guess we will see. Just going off what the owner of HP said on YouTube.
Sweden isn’t solely effected.

If people buy them they will keep jacking up prices, tariffs or not. Used guns are just as good as a shiny new ones, you just cant say you bought the newest greatest toy. Airguns are like cars a money losing proposition no matter how happy spending your cash makes you.
this is correct. Protest with wallet.

Remember the Tarriff is not on retail
Price. It’s on the wholesale / bulk price. I don’t know what the margins are but assuming 25% then the 10% Tarriff on a 2000 retail rifle is 150.00. If it’s going up by 200.00. Someone in the chain is making more money than pre Tariff.

Mike
And I'm willing to guess they would not ever lower the price again should tarrifs change. Certain types of businesses always take advantage of opportunities to parasitize their supporters - pretty perverse. Good ones to avoid in my opinion... seems to be a problem mainly when companies get a certain level of size / reputation, they no longer feel like they have to respect anybody. Individual customers become disposable.

I don't know enough about FX to know if this applies, but it might.

It wouldn’t be FX doing the “thing” mentioned above it would be the US impoter(s) or vendors here selling them not lowering the price when tariffs come off. I honestly don’t think we would see that happen. Plus of the free market. The vendors that did that wouldn’t last.

Likely so. Daystate prices are reaching the stratosphere too. But why don't people complain about car prices? I just can't understand why the rednecks are willing to pay upwards of $85K for a pickup truck that's far cheaper to manufacture than a Honda Civic (which, by the way costs $30K+).
jps , pretty offensive description of truck buyers. What do you consider a “red neck” ?
Must be different than a buyer of a hot $80+ k sports car, or I’ll bet you have an insulting
comment for a Harley rider that would pay $40k for a CVO.
I was one who saved your overpriced Air Arms, would have paid $1k you came down $50 big deal

I don't think it is offensive...I still drive a 1997 step side Chev truck bought new. I agree with jps. I paid $16,797 and change for my '97 and cannot understand a $80k pickup even with the dollar inflation. I don't think jps made a derogatory statement...just a generality that folks should also complain about car prices in general...and very soon they are going through the stratosphere with tariff taxes!
