N/A I want a cheap, really precise pistol with enough power to do small game

Hi lads, its summer and I'm puting time to refine my pistols.

Those are with a pp800 at 10m off hand, and I'm not happy at all, I can group much better with the 50 buck p17 China clone, so I'm considering to get another more precise gun.

-Must be .177
-Enough power to do etical pest control and small game (that discards the p17)
-A pistol, not a 40cm long, 2kg Star wars reject, better -30cm 1 kg or so max.
-Competition like precision.
-Cheap.

I'm looking the Zoraki- hp1 (not ultra)/Webley Alecto, and I think I read somewhere that the pp800 can be really good if you change the barrel. Yeah I know that youtuber do much better groups with the pp800, but I bet he have been given a tweaked demo model or something.
Is there other less known options that can take on target pistols?

Competition precision and cheap are mutually exclusive. HW44 used will run about 8 to 9 hundred US. Not cheap, but cheap is in the eye of the beholder. I love my Hatsan Velox. The second generation cured the earlier problems. It is semi and would allow you a quick follow up shot. I have over 8000 pellets through mine with no jams or issues. I have a red dot on mine and it is a true pistol (no carbine stock mounted. You may want to define your purse size and respond to beerthief to get more focused responses. Good luck in your quest.

In my country you can't hunt with airguns, but I like to have some prepper stuff... like a gun that, if a long blackout or something occurs I could take out and maybe hunt something if I'm lucky, or if rats decide to invade my backyard, I could terminare them in a more classy way than poison. It's just that I like that a pistol could be of some use beside pure target shooting.

Let's say... pellet over pellet at 10m, and usable with scope at 50.

I would check your laws before you buy . , where you can or cannot shoot and penalty's . city laws mostly prohibit shooting . Power = Foot pounds of energy . what is the Maximum you can own .

24 joule's the maximum (17.7 foot pounds), yet you can have more powerful airguns as long as they are limited. I legally purchased a GK1 and can have it tuned below 24j.

Some guns like the Mordax are not available overseas, and the thing is ridiculously expensive and I don't think it will have competition grade accuracy.

@Savagefox, if you can find one. Old school mac1 Ld. Will do 1/2 @ 50 yds all day @ 11.5 fpe. Many tree rats starlings and sparrows had joined the dearly departed with this one.

50m and 3 or so cm of accuracy out of a 15cm or so barrel. THAT I want to see. Note, I'm very loosely converting inches to metric in my head so accuracy tends to go out the window. Note #2, I do have some pistols but I don't use them very much and I'm no expert on the new ones. I trust mine to 20 meters BUT hitting a rat is pure luck.......IMHO.

I didn't know that one, looks good, but 40cm long and 1.7 kg... that's a brick of a pistol.

I believe you are looking for a Steyr pistol. Most pistols in this class are shooting 450 - 500 fps. Works out to only 3 fpe. The Steyr can get up to 650 fps so 6 fpe. Cost is relative to performance.

Inexpensive and PCP air gun is mutually exclusive, with one exception, the PP700SA. It is adequate for mice, rats and birds and inexpensive. But inexpensive and hunting slightly larger game, a 22LR is much more practical.

The rumors were 5-600 range from reputable sources. I said I will believe it when I see it too. Then again spending a ton of money on an airgun instead of slowly sinking money in to hotrod it was the best decision I ever made in the hobby, and I'm not rich.
