What pistol did you shoot today

Love mine! Charles
Charles, just FYI if you find your barrel shroud coming loose (the set screw really isn’t adequate) you can epoxy it in place. I did that to mine.
Not sure about the M712 but real C96’s offered different barrel lengths. I’ve thought about getting a second one and modifying the length of the barrel and shroud. I extended the barrel and shroud on an old Crosman MK1 and it increased both the fps and accuracy. But for the M712 I might go the other way and shorten it since I’m often switching to full auto and aiming at targets within 5 yards

I shoot the longer barrel HP version at the maximum 35 yard range in my backyard with a red dot and I’m always amazed with the bench rest accuracy of these pistols.

My new range isn't done yet but I sat out there and shot the HW40 with a dot sight yesterday evening.

I shot from here about 18 yards in. I'm hoping for 100 yards when it finished
I dropped a couple vine sprouts, killed 2 wasp, and clipped the wings off of one, religating him to ground troops. My aim at that stuff was about an inch and a quarter hold over.
I set up a can but it was close for the sight setting (30 yards) as I had to aim low for good hits. So I moved it out till I had to aim a tad high, shooting about an inch low.
I got about thirty hits before I was getting board and the mosquitos were packing me off. Dinner was ready anyway.

My trigger is not up to par on the HW40. It is very light and the spring disengages after you pull the first stage. If at that point you don't get a shot it doesn't return the first stage.
Anyone familiar with that issue on the HW40 trigger?

I shot this two this afternoon, my Mk1 stubby and a Mk2 I just finished changing the piercing pin o-ring. A 2 minutes job turned to 2 hours when you use the wrong tool for the right job, lol. Bugger up up the threads using screw driver, just lazy to find the special tool I made for this. I'm waiting on a special die 7/8" x 20 threads so I can make a flush mount bulb/ piercing cap for the stubby.
