Damn odd as nothing on list I've got that tight in .22 caliber ? Tho my list IS NOT CURRENT

Did you ever contact TJ's and inquire about barrel received being so tight ?
Nope, probably not a TJ so I'm definitely confused on that one. There was issues going back in forth, so probably got a something laying around. Don't totally know. It was supposed to be a TJ barrel. Gave him what I was shooting which was 18.2 at the minimum up to 21.1. It is a 6 Grove.

I’ve gone through close to a dozen TJ liners from .172 through .357 in both powder and pellet barrels. Two out of that bunch needed some pretty aggressive polishing both were airgun barrels. They have all shot very well after a proper leade and crown. His .257 barrels are awesome. I should add that they have all been 1/2” OD and I have them sleeved in CF to add a bit of stiffness.

I will remove my barrel and video pushing a brass brush through. I understand it doesn't make sense. This dam thing has been haunting me for sometime. Doesn't shoot anything good and spirals like hell. Also a very good loose spot mid barrel. Polished it up and made very little difference in its accuracy. I'm a sucker, so I may try to have a Taipan CZ 700mm barrel made to fit.

Your barrel seems real tight but can be made to work IMO. 1:16 is the wrong twist rate for light pellets ( under 25 grain) get the heaviest pellets you can find and shoot starting at 700 fps and work your way up in speed until you find something that works.
While you have the barrel out. You should have a real good look at the leade where the pellet stops past the transfer port when pushed in using the probe. I’ve seen a few rifles where the pellets stop short and are partially blocking the path .
