I have four sweet rigs and my goal is to simply keep enjoying them. But do plan to pay a little more attention to my Ghost Carbine. Am in the process of deciding on a direct to PCP HPA compressor. Thinking of the GX CS2…

Practice off-hand so I clean the forced position lane in field target every time. From an airgunning perspective 2024 was for slow for me. However, I did have a spurt or two in the beginning of the 2024-2025 squirrels season. I was also able to get most of what I wanted in order to complete my setups for a few applications. I was able to incorporate my e-bike into my airgun hunting which was an interesting learning experience. Now looking forward, I wish to pay closer attention to my DOPE and synthesize some data so that I have more options for varied hunting scenarios. I also aim to better educate myself in areas dealing with precision like: choosing to work with a ballistic app, learning to dial turrets, and setting up scope tape (I've been ducking that for a while). Ultimately I'd like to improve my shooting and I have had some very generous people to assist me. I may add a couple of elements to a hunting rig to see if they make a difference in my hunting experience. Most importantly, I became better acquainted with airgunners within our community. I'm thankful for having made acquaintances with several folks here and the friendships that ensued from our interactions. Each year I am happy just to see some of y'all continuing to log in and participate. And each year it sucks to see some go.
So what are your goals for 2025? Do you wish to start a dream build? Are you motivated to finally start competing? Who's starting their own shooting club or beginning to host competitions? Finally setting up a shooting lane in your yard, property, basement? What do you aim to do to further your knowledge or enhance you airgun experience?
I have done very little of this. Anyone still working towards their 2025 goals? From an airgunning perspective 2024 was for slow for me. I’d like to be able to properly mount a scope (silly, huh?) and take apart my HW35 and put it back together so it still works. Not that I want to tune, I just want to know the guts and how they work. I’d really like to pay for a couple hours with someone who knows what they’re doing. Videos don’t give me the confidence.
Knowing the rifle doesn’t make the shooter, my plan is to not buy a second rifle until I feel comfortable and proficient with this one.
@Spinach Hang in there. Health issues are important to take care of. If you can stay mobile and active doing something without exacerbating existing issues I find it to be helpful. So it's good to read that you are becoming more active. Keep pushing forward!2025 has probably been my most negative shooting related year to date.
Mainly health and mobility issues, getting old sucs.
I'm getting more active, still time to achieve a few a few targets, complete something, anything..
Just hopefully this year
Thanks, I'm always pushing forward, unfortunately my sensible wife has to pull me back. Sanity prevails, bless her.@Spinach Hang in there. Health issues are important to take care of.
