Gamo Piston seal

I kind of figured it out later. Is one HW that uses the 30 mm piston.

The seal from Czech Republic made it here. (Canada) Ordered Jan 17, so is not bad.
Price is 6 Euro+5 Euro shipping. The cheapest i found. Was surprised to see the box
size it came in. A simple seal would fit in a envelope. I realize they sent me more than
what i paid for. Included was a tool to push the gas ram , and also a cone to help install
the new seal on the piston. It works great, after warming up the seal in hot water.

Finished the piston for my Gamo. Machined diameter closer to size, as opposed
to factory piston that has a lot of clearance. Is that necessary? I don't know. I made
it a lot lighter than factory piston. And since i was at it, figured will try a Weihrauch
seal. I just don't like the wedge on Gamo pistons. Of course, Weihrauch has no 29 mm
seal! So had to figure out sizes to fit, as well to machine a seal down to size. All done.
Results: As expected, shoots slower than OEM. 725 fps from 740 fps. Sounds different,
wish i had a measuring device. But sure has less recoil.

Thanks for posting it. I like their products. Bought a spring from them to replace the NP ram that i was not happy with. Much better with spring, JMHO.

I have use ARH seal in my HW85 gain 10-20fps and with Vortek I gain 20-40fps. I"m no expert but when I have the gun tune by expert the gun gain almost 80fps with Vortek seal. That a 4-6FPE gain in the Gamo Mag and I'll take that any day.

Last week I sent them a "broken" 33mm seal from my Gamo magnum, he is going to try to make one of those. Gamo wont sell them to the public and the guy in Italy has a hard time sending any to the states. I tried 3 times and only got the seal once. The other 2 disappeared into the ether.

From what I heard Tom from Vortek is going to pick up a Gamo Hunter Extreme .25 cal. It only makes sense if your going to make a piston seal for that gun you need the gun. I think by the end of the month Tom should have the seal ready.

I kinda think gamo stops USA people from making or selling there gun parts ..
How long have these guns been out ? How many ask where a seal for them ?
I wonder I gamo laws up and puts a stop order on anyone in the USA from producing this stuff like a simple seal .
When you ask ARH he beats around the bush answered on why he don't . My favorite answer from him was ." Well , no body ever asked me for one" .. lol. So no gamo 33mm seal person ever asked you for a seal to repair or to tune a gamo in 12+ years of them around ? .. really ..wow .
Anyway hope it's true vortck will offer the " correct" 33mm seal
and Gamo don't notice them doing it ..lol

Gamo pretty sheetie on any fix yourself on there stuff .
Why you only see these seals in like poland or Australia and some other place to hat i guess gamongant lawyer up on a cease and desist stop order ..lol
We'll see.. i need one as well. Theres 2 kinds . A yellow a blue colored for different guns using the 33mm tube ..

From what I heard that Vortek is working on the 33mm ADVANCE BIONIC PISTON. He's have trouble deciding which 33mm gun to use because they have different cylinder tube, piston and gas ram but use the same piston seal. Hopefully he focus on the Gamo Mag 45J with the longer stroke.

So i guess no drop in standard seal..

Well gamo may of caught wind of it and put a stop order on them ... Why you never find these seals in the usa as i kinda said above .. the gamo seals you can easy get are guns that got rebranded / sold under other companies. Like that gamo 440 that was sold under several brand names ..( that dont care of you fix it yourself unlike gamo that does all they can to prevent you from fixing yourself) .
Still time will tell. Maybe just running late on the release..
