Budget Gun Battle!

I thought the Zelos was light because Pyramyd Air erroneously says it weighs just six lbs but it actually weighs closer to seven. I need to get a lighter scope than the Aim Sports Alpha 6 4.5-27x50 I have on mine. That combined with the heavy-azz Huben Cricket Bottle Regulator and 580cc CF Bottle have pushed total weight to almost 11lbs.
I'm considering a Firewalker special with shortest barrel possible that would be custom fit just past two side by side tiny bottles , but I would never be able to sacrifice my barrel I have now as the accuracy of it it just amazing. I read somewhere that the competitive shooters never clean their barrels , and nothing has been down my Zelos barrel except Apolo slugs , and pellets. I was also informed by reading that the alloy compesition of different manufacturers is an important part of lubercation to the barrel , so I gathered hard alloys don't lube as well as softer ones , and I'm talking about the natural lubercation properties of lead. I don't know for sure , but I think Apolo uses a very soft alloy , and I read Zan's are rather hard , but don't know how accurate this statement is.

I have a cheap Xisico Sentry 705HC .22 PCP Rifle that just loves the Daisy Precision Max Hollow Points. They are made from soft lead and I have shot 1000's of them through it with no degradation in accuracy. Haven't had the chance to shoot my Zelos yet - hoping it likes them too.

The Zelos with it's adjustable regulator likes whatever you tune it to I was shooting Apolo 28 grain HP slugs with reg set at 2,700 , and hammer turned 4 in . I got a Chronograph now , so soon as I get my Zelos back together I will see how fast there going ?

Have read that our Zelos are over-sprung and that adjustments with the stock hammer spring are not very effective. On the FB Umarex Zelos Owners Group, a guy name of Dave Goldfarb is reworking his .25 with lighter springs and a new valve. It is showing promise as to making the Zelos Hammer Spring much more responsive to adjustment and reducing valve noise/ping when firing.

They cleared that up on the Zelos FB page. It still has the adjustable HS, I think something got lost in translation. You don't have to remove the cover anymore l so it comes with a predrilled hole like the M60B.

The caliber change kits from PA for the Avenge are nice and cheap.

As an aside If you have a Crosman 22XX based gun. If machine off 3mm off the breach end it will line up with the TP on Crosman breech and valve. I've got a Disco I made into a .25 cal. Only issue with the Disco tube is that it is about 1" longer then the barrel but it still shoots very well.
Do you mean the Avenge-X barrels?

What happened to the OP?

No result ?

Let me spoil the ending fellas …. The Zelos wins , easily
I love my Zelos , but let me tell you I have a friend who lives in New Mexico , and he has 20 acres of land , and he is shooting Prairie dogs at 125 yards with his bone stock Avenger in .22 cal.

The avenger has always been powerful and accurate
I’d never cast any shade on it
and since I don’t have one of those I won’t comment on build quality , ect

I’m lucky to have 2 great Zeloses so I am biased toward Snowpeak

I’d love to see this budget guns showdown real life performace head to head.
