Got the .20 cal Ghost out today, for the first time in a couple months.
I had just finished up some dope work for field target with a different gun, so had a pellet trap @ 55 yards (max FT distance). After blowing a couple shots into the dirt to reset everything after a long lay-off, I'm pointing at the the first three shots on paper out of the Ghost.
He he, that produced a big smile. That was the .20/15.89 from JSB.
After that I decided I needed to go gas up my pickup, grab a soda, and swing though a nearby pdog town. I topped off the gun to 250 BAR and didnt bring any additional air. Windy day so decided to run the .20/18.9grain slug from NSA that is so absolutely phenomenal.
Ended up with a total of 43 dogs on that one fill, and in only two different sits. Talk about a target rich environment!!! Bunches of them this year, and I've been taking it easy on them lately. I've never ran a full string of the 18.9s over a chrono but I'd guess I'm getting something like 80-100 shots per fill, before I get down to the reg pressure around 128bar. That's at about 35 fpe per shot.
The high point was when I got really dialed on a few holes in the 160-180 yard range. I got 6-7 dogs off those couple mounds in about as many shots. I really love dropping the long bomb like that, especially when its so precise.
Here was the easiest one to take a photo of...head shots make em spring a massive leak. And oh such a thwAAAACK! on impact.
Anyway, just an update on where I'm at with the Ghost. It's my dedicated long range, high shot count rig these days. And does an exceptional job in that role, an absolute scalpel in the way of precision. Not a lot of fpe, but sure don't need it on critters this size when it shoots so accurately.
