Somebody that shuts up and stays out of things they have no grasp of. That's the opposite of a Karen. A knowstheirplace. The coyote shooting will continue or it moves to poisoning inevitably and that goes down the food chain.

Archery equipment is nice and quiet.
Have killed a ton of coyotes and they are a massive pest! All of these morons that think they are cute and cuddl, have never seen a pack of coyotes pulling a calf out of a heffer while giving birth. You want to hear an awful sound.....listing to a calf getting eaten alive.
Most of these people have never been in the real world and have zero clue what goes on.

My archery gear is far more powerful but my airguns are far quieter. It's part of why I got into pcp was actually the suburban/forest border situations like this. I feel the same way about mountain lions too.

Mountain lions scare the crap out of me. Have been stalked by one while out hunting....that was enough that I bought a larger pistol to carry while hunting.
Most people have zero idea what these animals can do. The large cats with a solo or a pack of canines.

I'm looking for the derogatory term, equivalent to, and the opposite of Karen, that is used to insult the person one disagrees with rather than engaging them in discussion and listening to one another.

I would prefer a PCP rifle over a crossbow any day. Not that the crossbow isn't more effective and deadly, just that in case the Critter makes it off your property, the arrow through a critter more likely make it on the evening news and draw unwanted attention. If the animal found off your property with a pellet hole is less likely to be traced back to you or make the evening news. In fact the animal may be disposed of without a post-mortem evaluation and it being shot may never even enter the picture.

Because if it were my decision there would be no such thing as a humane instant kill
The goal (POI) would make a lethal shot that sends the predator off somewhere else to die.
It's still precision shooting of course, but with a twist
Very quiet PCP with a good low light or night vision scope, a window cracked open, a few entrails festering out on the lawn, and enough time to wait them out
And I'm a city boy!

This same issue has caused the mountain lion population to go crazy in California and wipe out the deer population. They are all over the state now and regularly eat pets, even in the cities. We call them Starbucks Drinkers around here, those that don't understand the outside at all.

If one were to have been in that sort of situation in their life, one could confirm that a pellet is of little concern as coming back to you unless you're on tape.

Yep, we got 'yotes in the Bay Area too. They eat the cat food (both meanings), left outside. I lost a cat last winter to them, a house cat raised friendly with dogs that didn't stand a chance. The feral cats around here grow up mean. A neighbor recently left flyers around asking to help neuter strays so that she won't have so many feral kittens to feed. The yotes will help solve that problem. Are they as humane as the kill shelter? I have to keep my little dog on a leash instead of letting her run amok to fertilize the neighbor's yards; I even pick up after her while I'm at it, sometimes others' poos too. Do yotes thus make me a better neighbor? I keep chickens but they're locked in a sturdy coop at night, and there is 2" mesh tangly netting tented over their backyard run, from 6' fence to fence, to keep the hawks and owls from eating... too many. I know yotes can get over the fence but so far I haven't seen sign of them trying, and expect only a big ruckus if they do. Maybe so far they're too fat to bother? Beating yotes off with a stick is probably my best realistic defense.
But this is suburbia, not rural. The trouble replacing a good cat or dog is much less than what I could face from shooting a yote, multiply "caught shooting" with "caught hurting an animal", either of which is a newsworthy offense around here. But it is what it is and getting upset at it won't help. Even if one wanted to shoot them it wouldn't make a dent as they control the ground. Typical developed lots here are a tenth of an acre, a thousand of which cluster together between undeveloped "open spaces" of maybe 10 acres, and creek beds and ridge tops connect the spaces together. Yotes can roam where they want, my "fort" is miniscule, and the popular consensus of my neighbor allies is to let them be. Contrast that with some of you on farm or range land where if you and your neighbors want to suppress the population, you stand a very good chance of doing so as they roam _within_ your territory.
I think the woman in Simi is getting a relatively polite response to her fence. They didn't fine her, just asked to "fix it". Her community, the city and HOA, doesn't want the fortification look so they have such rules. Collectively they control the land. In worse communities the neighbors sue each other over such things.

Just in the last few weeks they have been getting very bold at my oldest son’s house. Last week one ran between my son and grandson while they were shooting hoops in the driveway. Grandson doesn’t want to go outside anymore yesterday they were strollin through his yard.
He called this morning asking what pcp to buy. Spending money is fun!
