New GX FILTER?? Correct way to use it

Hello members
I have been using the new GX Filter attached to my CS-4
However, I am not certain I have the cap on properly
To explain, Ill refer to the attached pictures
One picture shows the alignment pins, and another the pin alignment recesses

The cap can be attached to the body of the filter either
- stop tightening when the pins align with the recesses
or
- tighten the cap gently all the way in. Pins not aligned

Which is correct?
Or maybe there is another way

Thanks
Edward

I have the same filter. Your last picture is correct. You want the output foster fitting above the "Output" text. That's at least the way mine is set up and it's been functioning fine.
Thanks @james722
When set up the way you recommend, I assume air pressure prevents the head from turning
Have you had any instances of the head becoming misaligned when not under pressure?

What of the pins & recesses he inquired about?
@Gerry52
I just verified
On mine, when the pins are aligned with the recesses, the output fitting and output text align also.
Take a look at the last picture of those I attached
That pic is with pins/recesses aligned

So, that's what I'm-a-gonna try

Turn the part with the fittings until the pins line up with the holes. And the fittings line up with the lables.

Use the included rod as a tool to tighten the upper part with the holes in it until the part with the fittings fully seats and the upper part with the holes in it is tight. Doesn't need to be super tight.

Thank you @BSJ
That worked perfectly

However, I do not recall seeing that tid-bit of information in any of the instructions/links/blogs published by GX
Perhaps I missed it

I don't think it makes much difference. I lost one of those little pins the first time I took it apart and just pulled the other one and screwed it down snug (by hand only). The foster is not perfectly aligned with the labeling but is only off maybe 10 degrees and the filter is functioning fine. If I wanted better alignment I would make a washer or two so that when I snug it down it aligns. I don't care for those pins.
