Stoeger And the Scout secret sauce is...

So it's been a few weeks since I received my Stoeger XM1 Scout .22, but I've been getting several pellets lined up with the appropriate hammer spring setting. I've got the right numbers to shoot Hades and H&N barracuda match. Both shot well. I asked Airgun Revisions what they recommended which was the 18.1gr JSBs. Didn't have any so I went with the next best thing; FX 18.1gr. The attached pic is two 5 shot groups at 48 yards. Very impressive I must say. For those of you who want to know I was shooting about 860 FPS and the hammer spring was set at six turns out. I'm happy with that and now can do some serious small game hunting. As the girls in Hee Haw used to say "We're through playin' now!" 😁

WOW ! I am impressed. That is fine shooting. If I may ask, what scope are you using ? Also, please send us a picture of your rifle.
Believe it or not I'm using a cheap center point 4 to 16 magnification scope. I really love the reticle in it although quite honestly I am going to upgrade eventually

Thank you for the picture. The scout is a nice looking rifle.
You're welcome and I also think it's a pretty good looking rifle. I have a feeling it's soon going to become one of my faves. I've still got a Daystate Revere I want to finish dialing in and a Hatsan Vectis that I'm still not happy with; although I must say the Vectis is very close to the Stoeger right now. We will see!
