I have a known to be good gauge I robbed from one of my backup hand pumps. I put a QD on it and periodically check my compressor's output to see if the gauges are correct.

Heat is a compressor killer, any method to address is positive. Fans, water, crankcase oil and low-speed gearing are popular. Wouldn't recommend single cooling method compressors, combination platforms will outlast. WM

In any aspect of tools, 100% duty cycle and affordable are mutually exclusive. My compressor is over $1000 and is chinese, still not 100% duty but can fill an scba in 1 shot quickly. In my other hobby, you can get consumer radios for 35 bucks, or continuous duty for 3500+. You're paying for components that can handle the heat inevitably on a compressor or a radio.

If they address the compressor head cooling, they rarely address it electronically. It can be done by the end user if they're handy enough.
