Ebay and their shipping rules might have been corrected

I agree. when asking $2000 for a scope and someone throws a offer for $800 is pretty insulting.
what about the buyers who win your auction and never pay, like it’s some kind of game.. ebay does nothing about it.
so yeah, much bigger problems if you don’t like what people are asking go buy a new one.
i’ve had my 6 year old put a bid in without me knowing and won.. i only found out when i got the notification and was really thankful the seller was understanding of what happened. ebay has some good people.

Devils advocate….maybe the scope is only worth 800 and the seller , well is literally clueless. Scopes depreciate a lot. All I can say is go look at the FX prices on eBay. It’s literally hilarious. There can’t possibly be a single impact sold off there in months and months. I’ve a Cpl times in the past for fun messaged sellers and asked if the gun came with some of whatever drugs they were on. That fun wore off quick though. Lol. Yes low ballers are a problem but asking a ridiculous price is still a ridiculous price and most people (just my opinion) over value their stuff.

That’s understandable and the Seller should not have a problem with that. This has happened with multiple people and multiple times non-paying buyers. You’re waiting to get paid for a response from the buyer and nothing but crickets.

A well priced Impact here. You just have to look around.

So why do you think sellers are so out of line with their prices? If that is a problem, go to vendors directly? I think the low ball bidders whom try to insult are a bigger problem than the sellers. For example, 450 dollars on a Daystate Wolverine HP R, go check the price on new at AoA.
Yes. Very odd how some folks price their goods. I don't get it.

so, how do the prices get out of hand and the answer is easy
some buyer bought the same thing at a outrageous price so the next guy says to him or herself if they can do so can i
i have been doing this long enough to see if the price is okay or cheap or too high
now for years we have had the Blue Book to give a hint to the right price but with that gone and the last book starting to age we all find ourselves in a different buying situation
what was is not what is but common sense should be our guide
long ago i would see a gun and think i better buy it is will never see another and with that pay too much because there is always another
i am afraid we are in a time that paying too much for older gun is here to stay

but when you see a Webley Hurricane sell for a grand you know something is wrong

as buyers we want a deal and never go underwater and as a seller they want the most they can get
buyers and seller are on different sides of the fence

when you post a gun here per-say you have to be in the ballpark
most of the old timers have studied the prices and i do think it is part of the hobby, the learning the value of guns
complicated YES and time consuming
just my thoughts

as many of you know Ebay cut of area to be shipped to for no reason and we as buyers could not fix it
and have been living with that but today i retested that problem on a couple of guns and i was no longer block that is good
i live in Washington state
now the sellers are so out of line with their prices it might not matter
I live in northern California and still locked out of bidding or buy it now items. Have called customer service and got the usual runaround from their help desk person.
