I was wondering if anyone has had experience with both this pcp rifles. The AEA sf sniper and the Karma EQ and which one would you recommend?
Thank you, appreciate your advice, am mostly looking to do pest control and small game hunting.Hello welcome to the forum. AEA anything is not comparable to any of the mid-top shelf pcps, and that includes the Karma models. My advice is to forget AEA all together and focus on other options. I own 2 and would not recommend them to anyone. Some are better than others, but all of them are priced out of their respective markets these days. There are much better options for the same money in all comparisons.
What do you want to do with your pcp? That will help others give you some pointers on other models to check out.
If you want to try out a pcp without spending a pile of money this is a good place to check out. These older model Benjamins were made in a factory in Turkey that has(had) a great reputation. They were double/triple the price when they were first introduced to the market. While they arent power houses, a 30fpe 22Cal will be enough for pesting up to pigeon/skunk size critters at decent distances ~60yds.Thank you, appreciate your advice, am mostly looking to do pest control and small game hunting.
Might have to take your advice, that taipan looks amazing. I'll definitely keep an eye out for one, thanks for the advice was really leaning towards the AEA but it seems to have some reliability issues. If you want to try out a pcp without spending a pile of money this is a good place to check out. Or if you are not in a hurry you can put your time in here and get classified access and look out for a used Taipan Veteran Gen1. They run about ~$850-$1050 but are some of the best pcps ever made. A used Maverick or Wildcat is about the same price now as well.
And for a compressor the GX CS3 can be found on sale at amazon often and they are a good starter unit.
I'll check it out, thanks for the pointer.Search, "Karma EQ," in upper right page corner search box. No personal experience but two owners agreed on disappointment with the purchase in a recent thread. WM
I think a CF bottle would be a nice upgrade too. Even more air and less weight. The Kratos keeps calling to me.....If you become interested in the Benjamin "Craftsman Series" airguns available from Airgun Revisions, I recommend the Kratos Model. It has a bottle, rather an airtube, that holds much more air than either the Akela or the Caydon. I routinely get 36 consistent velocity shots at 37/38 fpe between fills with my .22 Kratos.

I own an sf compact. 30 and a karma eq. 30, they are two different guns. My sf stays in semi auto, the bolt action is goofy to manipulate theres a little lever you have to press each time to pull the bolt back, and its awkward/ annoying. The sniper variant may be different but my compact only shoots pellets, it doesn't like slugs at all. The sf is a fun, quiet semi auto gun. As far as the eq goes I only shoot aea 52.2 gr slugs. They are the most consistent round I have put through the barrel and I have tried a bunch of different options. I use my eq as a bench gun, but it would make a great pesting rifle for shooting into trees. It does shoulder really well, the weight is right against your body. It depends on what you are looking to do with it. If you have more specific questions I will try to answer them.I was wondering if anyone has had experience with both this pcp rifles.
