New HIKMICRO Alpex Lite testing coming soon... questions around your day / night digital scope

Good morning all. My name is Josh, I work for CWT as a red squirrel ranger in Cumbria. I mostly use a sub. 12 air rifle (HW100) when it comes to shooting grey squirrel. I have recently joined the HIKMICRO hunter family as a HIKHUNTER+. I have been sent a new HIKMICRO ALPEX 4K rifle scope to test for a few months. I wish to discuss the ins and outs of owning and using a digital rifle scope... To start I would like to ask you all a few questions on what you think makes a decent digital rifle scope in the field.

Q1. HIKMICRO have officially announced that it will soon release a customized air gun scope. Does anyone know of the brand and what do you think of the products? My current digital scope weighs more than my rifle, last hunt i used it as a boat anchor, true story.

Q2. HIKMICRO just dropped a hint about their new and upcoming rifle scope "ALPEX 4K LRF". Does anyone know about the new product?

Q3. I have reason to believe that a new rifle scope from HIKMICRO will weigh around 550g... Would this tempt you to upgrade?

I would really appreciate you all getting in on this. I will be receiving the new scope any day now and would like to unbox it and have you follow me through the testing process. I currently use the Alpex 50T but find it to be very heavy, the lower magnification quality is fab but can be grainy up to 14x mag... The night vision is fab although I have not used many others to compare. I do think the new Alpex will be a great addition to my setup.

Thanks all, looking forward to discussing with you.

All the best
J

Good morning,

I am employed as a full time grey squirrel pest controller, although as working for a charity, my role is dedicated to shooting grey squirrel that directly impact red territory / food sources. Protecting strongholds and developing buffer zones. Other aspects of a red squirrel ranger's role are creating nest boxes, supplementary feeding reds and monitoring health and number of reds in a 2000 acre area. So far, it's working!
