These are my dueling pistols. Ruger MKIV. Springers. Accurate. I believe the silver model has been discontinued. Still available in all black. Just challenged a fellow member to a dual.

Very nice collection. Years ago I refinished most of my gun stocks. Even "cheap wood" can be made to look better with some elbow grease & some oil/stain,etc.

I only own two expensive guns. Most if mine a cheep. Because I hardly ever buy new. Will only buy if it's a great deal, or a basket case that needs repairs.

On Tuesday my friend had as much " trouble " hitting little ( 1x1 cm ) things at 50 M distance.
Okay he was shooting 13 gr slugs in his Snowpeak / artemis M30, where as i was shooting 10.43 gr JSB heavy out of my Maverick.

You can get more than two M30 for the price of a Maverick, and if you stick within 75 - 55 M that is just fine.
Comparing triggers,,,,, well you cant really do that CUZ while not stellar, the Maverick trigger are on the other side of the solar system from the M30 trigger.

The old .22 Maximus (with trigger upgrade and TKO) still shoots great. It hasn't leaked in 6 yrs and still hits 865 fps with cphp and 830 with JSB 15.9. Hits 1" spinners at 30 yds all day shooting off hand. Easy 2000 psi fill gives 25 good shots.

My Stormrider has higher velocity but groupings aren't as good as Mad Max. Still fun to shoot with 7 round mags.

Diana chaser is just a fun plinker. 570 fps with Hobby 11.9 and accurate enough to make pellet tins jump.

Nice. What scope is on that Chaser???

Keeping in the el Cheapo category, I picked up this tiny 4x AR scope at a show a few decades ago for under $20. The parallax was way off but in making a tool to fit the front lens slots in the objective lens (with some heat applied to loosen the Loctite) I made it adjustable “manually “.

The 22 caliber Stormrider just stacks these at 40 yards. Allowing of course for the shot curve.

FYI. This is best el Cheapo scope I’ve ever bought. It’s crisp and clear. I got several 2-7x32AO. It’s pictured on the Stormrider. I love the reticle. Down here on the “Gulf of America” lol, where it’s always breezy, the windage indications are priceless.View attachment 562789View attachment 562790
I have a couple of the CVLife scopes, they are pretty decent for the price.
