Airgun Technologies Uragan 2 25 cal 700 mm barrel tunes

I would like some good velocities for my Uragan 2 for 38 grain slugs and 50 grain Altaros. I am currently getting 960 fps for the 38 grain and 850 for the Altaros. Good groups but not great. My 25/700 Panthera likes 920 for the Altaros. When I got the Uragan it shot the 38 grain slugs excellent but I have been adjusting the regulator and now cannot find anything super satisfactory. I did not bother to check the 38 grain velocities before messing with it, bummer. Should have left it alone.

Do you know what your regulator is set to right now? Your gun is shooting definitely putting out good power, sadly with the U2 it's not a matter of adjusting here and there due to the balanced valve. Do you know where your regulator is set that right now? Also, how many turns in do you have on the hammer spring?

Not sure where the reg is set. I understand that the Huma regulator has numbers but this has nothing. I also understand that with a balance valve there is little effect if the hammer spring is changed

Yes and no, so the reg should be set to 150b from factory, a 1/4 turn is about 30b up or down. Adjusting the hammer spring won't do a lot to change the velocity but the hammer spring is set pretty high from factory.

Yeah anytime you make an adjustment, you need to shoot the gun a few times, and then wait a day to see where you are at

Just opened the reg some and the Alteros went from 850 to 930. That's smoking

Yeah the reg is very sensitive. I got my U2 600mm .177 from factory shooting 10gr at 900 and bumped it to shoot 20gr at 955fps

1st group of 5 Alteros at 50 yards. Also shot 44 grain H&N slugs very well. Didn't try anything else
