What pistol did you shoot today

The other pistol I shot today was my brand new, stainless (effect) and very handsome, Chiappa Rhino.

It's only a bb flinger, and at 10m, not very accurate with Smart Shot, so I tried some H&N Econ II.

I think I will be fitted a rifled barrel quite soon, or getting a bigger barn door...

Well now I know, the silencer makes very little difference to the overall sound of the HW45.
It does affect the POI as there is more mass up front that has an effect on the recoil - less muzzle dip.
For whatever reason, I couldn't get the adjustment on the red dot sight any higher, so I used it at half power which gave less muzzle dip. I was quite pleased with the ten shot group, off-hand at 10m.

I then wanted to try it with the opens.

Hmmm. 🤔

Maybe I need to re-fit that red dot, I only put it on because the diameter of the silencer blocked the opens! The other alternative is a pistol scope, it annoys me that there is no facility to fit a sight further back, they just don't look right to me in the middle.
I might try fitting some sort of RMR plate on my old clunker model, but I won't be drilling any holes in this one.
Have you looked at some dovetail to picatinny adapters? Some have extension which would allow you to move it further back. I'm also annoyed by the top rail tilt, mine is about 8 moa. I may make a roller bushing for the rear latch pin and grind the catch (spur) flat. This of cource will lower the barrel alignment to the piston port, so an equal amount needs to be cut deeper into the top rail to re-align the port again. This will make every thing parallel and get's rid of the barrel tilt. Or I could just make make this my hunting rig and leave as is, lol.

Most of the report of the P1 /45 is from the mechanics of the gun. If you think about it, there already is a long void, which is why the HW75 sounds a bit quieter than its competitors. With springers already quieter (in regard their sonic report) its possibly why you got little for your trouble.
However, what really makes a difference is the red dot. Pistols have compromised sight radius but the red dot has infinite sight radius.

Hi Guys…Well what did we all shoot today?.. It was a gorgeous day here in the North East…windy at times..so if I didn’t hit my marks .. I would blame it on the wind…I finished up the mods I did on the Reximex RPA..and dial it back in…passed the paper test..3/4”...10 shot group..not bad for using cheap defective pellets…I got bored so I moved over to the slingshot box and pounded the spinners..my spotter kept running down looking for the kill shots…lol…it was time to do some yard work…so I pruned a few high up tree branches…5 shots each did the job ..easy day today?

I have had one for a couple of years now…mounted on a BSA R10…use it for HFT..ranges as well as a Hawke 6-24 I also have. Not as well as the Sightron…though not as pricey. It is a great scope for the money IMO. John
