Any Airgun 200 yard bench rest shooter out there?

Don't do it................ We did it in Utah last spring. Everyone had spotters with scopes and trying to see a 22 cal slug hole at 200 yards is difficult, at best. The person I was spotting for was using 22 pellets and you could hear it hit paper but rarely could see where it could hit.

I get the allure of the long shot, 500 and something yards to a prairie dog is nice video fun. I even shot to 300 last weekend in Oregon. Is it real? Not really in my eyes but better buy the gear needed to make it reasonable.

The F-class guys out to 1000 yards have a different level equipment to be able to run a event are you ready to bring on electronic scoring and vision systems capable of having any idea where you hit.

Thanks for chiming in and sharing your thoughts.
With my new .30 cal, I don't have any issues spotting or tracking shots on targets at 200 yards.
100 yard bench rest is "not my cup of tea" and prefer a different challenge.

I only shoot 200 yards at my club range and known for splitting playing cards with all 3 of my pcp's. My latest and newest pcp is the RP. I'm looking for other shooters that happen to share the same interest.

if you are wanting to set up a range that will be really user friendly, might want to look into remote camera like we see in the demo videos? but I don't know if they even have like a wireless monitor or if you would need to use wired surveillance cameras..
just a thought..

Mark, I have the LongShot Ranger Plus camera thats good up to 1000 yards. Several people can log into the same camera and can log and mark their own shots in the longshot app. It's a great system.

I didn't know that even existed, figured it would have to be a camera down by the target 🤣 but protected so it wasn't accidentally a target..
so much new technology!

I’m interested in your camera setup. The Ranger camera is set up near the target and you are filming yourself with your phone? Is this correct? I would like to do the same but at 25 yards. Would an iPad work in place of the phone?

Great shooting at that distance!

Do you need the internet or Wi-Fi to use the camera at the range?

I’m 100% with you on this. I’ve only shot my 30 cal RP twice as I’m recovering from a total hip replacement but I was shooting slugs at 118 yards on Know your limits spinners and was hitting all of them quite easily. I just need my son to weed whack the yard so that I can reach out to 200 yards from my driveway but that’s definitely something that I plan on doing soon.

I'm thinking of starting a 200 yard bench rest shoot at my club range.

Anybody interested?

I think it's a great idea. The reason I say this is because for years the "thing" has been pellets at 100 yards. It's time to step up the distance -- slugs (or anything you want) at 200 yards. Even a cheap Air Venturi Avenger or an Umarex Gauntlet has a fair chance these days. I won't be there, but I'm rooting for ya. Cheers.
